I am absolutely DISGUSTED!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PERSON!!!!
After being promised my item would be posted and i would be contacted via email or phone with the tracking number i was not contacted.
I spent today making phone calls and sending emails to Laurence.
After staying on the phone, listening to the eternal rings, he finally answers. I ask why I wasnt contacted and when my item will be posted.... He proceeded to tell me the following....
(i must take a moment to calm down before i continue....)
He states that he hasnt posted the item which is why he didnt contact me (very polite of him to let me know this now and not yesterday!!!)
He then says that he doesnt actually have the item i ordered....
He then says that he when he spoke to me on the phone last he explained that he was going to buy the item from someone today in order to fulfil my order....WHAT A LIAR! I challenged him on this and he didnt say anything back.
After going to buy this item he stated that they didnt have it therefore he is unable to fulfil my order!
Laurence then offered me a refund.... I stated that if i dont get a refund within 24 hours, with a phonecall and email confirming it, i will be taking this matter further....I am not hopeful at all.
To make it clear.... Laurence sells items on his website that he doesnt actually have. He takes peoples money and doesnt communicate with them.
If i didnt start the communication i would still be blissfully waiting for my order to be delivered....an order that was never in Laurences possession at ANY point.
He wished to make it clear that he is not a con man and is offering me a refund.
I am disgusted.
I urge people that have placed orders with him to contact him and keep contacting him. I hope you are not in the same position as me..... He has my money and there is no item to deliver to me!!
As of yet, i have not received my refund.....
Laurence. You have until 1500 hours...

So if i have this right, his business plan is to......
Advertise goods
Sell them and take the money for them
Now tries to buy the goods he has previously sold
Deliver goods when he has got them
If he cant buy goods he has previously sold and make a profit, he refunds customer.
Would be a great plan if it wasn't for complainy customers

My wife bought some artwork for my birthday towards the end of last year. If i had known she was planning to do this from AMUTI I would have advised her against it because their incompetence has been flagged up before - either on this forum, or others.
Anyway, she did eventually receive a piece of art, just in time for my birthday, but it wasn't the one she had bought, and this only after numerous phone calls. They told her they couldn't find the art she wanted, so sent out something else by the same artist instead.
It's not for her to tell me how much she paid, and I don't want to know as I will only get angry because of what they sent her instead.

This latest lot doesnt sound too good though. Was one of them "How to win friends and influence people"? Doesn't sound like he needed it anymore. Good luck guys with your problems with Amuti. I remember having issues a while back with one Daniel Lahoda....that was stressful. Can imagine this is equally so. |

Sorry, i made a mistake earlier when i said i had bought books from Amuti, it was Stolenspace but they were Arty type books so thats prob why, hope you all get sorted though, must be frustrating.

Hi, have had hassle with Amuti just recently. 2 items. Yep, they took the money but then no contact. I paid via Paypal and when I realised I was not going to get my stuff I went to my Paypal account and started a claim to get my squids back. Sorted very quickly in my favour. Please, never buy anything from these people, you'll only get bother.

Right...in Laurences favour he has paid me my refund.
He did it yesterday and emailed me and called me today to check i had it.
The only thing is that he sent the refund via PayPal...and ive had to pick up the paypal fees!! Ive told him im not happy etc.
Also, the payment has come from someone else, not him. He says this is a friend of his?!?!?! STRANGE!
Anyway, im going to get my paypal fees off him and hopefully that will be the end of this!!!!

Can I just say again that this seller is TINTERNETDON on ebay so please be wary. Is this definitely the case? They always have items up on ebay including at the moment a wrong war box set that is reasonably priced, obviously this isn't the case if they don't actually have it |

I bought a banksy jungle book poster off his site on Sunday . Arrived yesterday without any issues .
I must confess reading this thread I was wondering if it would ever show .
It did and by all accounts exactly as it was described .

Some people go over the top shouting and balling about their orders not arriving the week after they've bought them, one thing we've got to remember is that most of the time we're dealing with artists and piss heads, things take time and MOST importantly it'll get to you a whole lot faster if you ask nicely and don't act like a p*ick. |

Amuti23 are a gallery, not an artist. However if you are suggesting that Amuti23 are pissheads, I'm afraid that I couldn't comment on that. I was sold something that Amuti23 clearly did not have. I received a number of emails stating that my order would be sent in the morning and I would be given the tracking reference later. The item was never received and no such email was forthcoming about the tracking number. At no point did I receive an explanation or an apology. I continued to ask nicely and politely for over 3 weeks for an update on the item. When I finally received a response I just got the same response 'it will be posted in the morning...'. Amuti23 clearly did not have the item that they had sold me. Finally I received a call from Lawrence stating that indeed he didn't have the item but he would be getting it later in the week. We agreed that I would receive it by the end of the week. The item didn't materialise and without request I received a paypal refund notification. So, joeschmo I really don't understand your post. Amuti23 are clearly just lying c**ts. |
