I remember taking a photo of it Oct/Nov last year, possibly around the same time as the Grifters show. It was in a shop entrance around the same area as the old Lazarides shop. Looks a bit like Paul Insects style, but seem to remember it being by someone else. Hopefully it will come to me.

more have now popped up on the kingsland road, back of the foundry old st, and 3 on the hacney road, anybody know anything about them thanks Expanded foam mushrooms that have appeared in Brick Lane and on the Old Street roundabout .... any ideas who? I don't know who did them, but if it helps anyone, here is a picture of the Old Street one...  i too would like to know about these mushrooms / one on old street on the 5 a side football has gone there is one on the arches in shoredicth high st bethnal green rd junction and one on the hackney road by the big toaster pieace and Roa rabbit, but back to the question who, why and for what reason  ? please help oh this one hs now been removed been there for god now's how long aswell |

After looking at a few blogs with no answers, I'm none the wiser unfortunately. But from the photos they look like they are knitted. So they could be something to do with the urban knitting club (not their name!), they were in the news in the latter part of 2009 with various street stunts and shenanigans and also at Bazaart if I remember. |
