Well I think it's time we had a new Print!, by monochrome on Jun 12, 2006 16:19:42 GMT 1, 31 prints released in just over 3 years..... then the famous Banksy Drought happened.
We'll be talking about 2006 in years to come - the year that Banksy only released one print (although technically it was on sale in 2005 at S. Ghetto).
Or perhaps the rumours of his print retirement are true.
Come on Banksy, I need to buy stuff and I can't get into the other artists on POW and Hirst is too expensive.

People will buy anything to make a fast buck and I'm sure that Banksy doesn't really care about that. As an artists myself, it's not just about releasing a print/painting because you have to. You wouldn't get Eminem bring out a crap song just because he hasn't for a while.
It's hard to explain but I suppose my view is that I'd rather wait for a new print to come out in its own time. I may not even buy it but at least you know its not a money making scheme by POW and Banksy.
Also, why do we need loads of prints when there are books and photo's on the net to remind us of his work.
I'd rather see the original street art continue, as it has done over the last few months. This is why we're interested in it (i assume) and no one can moan about people making money out of banksy, unless they steal the wall he's used. And we all get our Banksy fix

Well I think it's time we had a new Print!, by monochrome on Jun 14, 2006 15:51:58 GMT 1, I'll be frank. I bought Bomb Middle England & WSM on the strength of an article I read in 2003. A friend told me he did 'funny' and quirky stuff in Bristol. So I 'risked' ยฃ34 on each print.
To me, its only about the prints, the style, the image and the process. I consider myself a collector, a collector who never sells, just amases more work - why I have no idea.
So personally I'd like to see more in print, irrespective if there are idiots destroying the market by buying up 10 copies to flog them the next day.

Btw, Eminems last single was 'shake that ass' which was dire and clearly done for money, lets hope the hope our millionaire graffiti artist dosen't follow suit.

well said that man...not really diggin the new piece in Bristol though.. technically brilliant.. but, well, seems a bit empty.

It just pulls my dick to see 3 or 4 ''art dealers'' buy up prints from POW and re flog them 6 months down the line on ebay, rahhhrahhh rahh rank rant, stomp stomp.
