Brushstrokes, amazing additions! Love that book. Never seen something like that before, even makes me a bit homesick. Is something like that affordable?
Great sam francis as well... Would love one myself one day.
And than the Miró's! Been looking for a Miró for a while now, very jealous!
Enjoy your aquisitions, no doubt you will!

I got the little unprinted fella sitting down with the dog. Cheap version that came with the book. Awaiting a small plinth that I bought for it from the bay.

Nice art all. Brust, no disrespect to the masters that follow, but is that Blu a hand colored/watercolor edition? I remember that image on white but not with all the extra shading and and I quite like it. Just curious, thanks in advance.

Just received this back from the framers. I just went for a simple frame with single cream mount on this Jamie Reid. It's not one of his classic images but the colours are striking and its growing on me.

i know you guys all seem to dislike MBW here but i don't see how you could hate on this one ;D It's easy. It's another piece of evidence that MBW has a lack of originality whatsoever. It's also a blatant rip off of Faile's very popular 'Fight Vanity' image from 2008. Pretty much all MBW did (or his staff, I should say) was flip the image, add some 'Pollack drips', photoshop on Ali's face, and crop inside their image a little bit and slightly change a couple of other things...plain as day. At least he did add the word 'legend' to Ali's shorts (everybody has to give Ali props!). I am sure that it's a real shocker to see another piece of art copied by MBW. Yes, another piece of visual plagiarism by the little french guy. That's how.....

yes you are certainly entitled to your opinion but i will say you are wrong about him plagerizing Faile. he clearly got the inspiration for this piece from this picture, not some random thing Faile did

I had only seen the Faile piece which it clearly reminded me of.
You did indeed prove me wrong, he clearly stole everything from this image instead of Faile and used it as you referenced. It would be really nice if MBW could try to do something original one of these days...if he's capable of that.
Kudos and cheers to you research skills!
Still wont buy a MBW.

not everything you hang needs some deep meaning. sometimes people just enjoy things that remind them of certain memories and things they relate to in everyday life but that is why you buy what you like not because of who's name is on the piece but no more MBW talk from me promise
