Firstly I wanted to share a painting which I commissioned. A family portrait - By Vincent Brown (the baby in Mummys tummy missing). I hope you like it. I am opening a portrait commission website in April and have been waiting a while for this painting to be finished. I am going to use it as the home page image on the site. So sorry to the artists who have had to wait for me to get it up. I promise It'll be up and running in April. I have 5 amazing artists lined up for the site. More details to follow shortly.

Congrats Slammer, I can't believe how well that was executed. Gorgeous family and what a unique way to celebrate it at home. I'm curious what are the dimensions? Happy Friday

I have a couple of people already interested in having similar family portraits done. If anyone else is interested drop my a PM and i can send some other pictures. I also have a video, which if i can ever work out how to edit and get onto you tube, will give you a much better idea of the 3d element. The painting is 27 a5 boards in acrylic and oils. The frame has 40 mitres as opposed to the normal 4.

Wow, that is stunning The artist is clearly a huge talent, if I lose weight and stop being hit over the head with an ugly stick each night I might get one done as well

Being lucky enough to know this crazy-ever expanding family. I can't believe how perfectly the Artist has captured and touched upon the various characters inside each them, particularly with the eldest two.Just wait till they fall out with other and seek revenge on the panels!
Can't wait to see it and take in the detail!

Very nice slammer. Can't wait to see mine. I've sensibly stayed out of the portrait and left it all to my daughters...

What i really like about the concept, is that in a normal family portrait everyone sits poses and there is no movement, no life. This portrait for me shows what are family life is really like. In our house and in most. The sitting was chaos. We were trying to get the kids to sit stillish and Vincent was just happily snapping away as he didn't want us to sit and pose. Anyway he couldn't have done better. Going to be a big year for him I hope. He deserves alot of credit.

The 'normal family portrait' often feels so forced and staged - so it is great to see such a fresh take on capturing an image of the family. It feels more like a series of candid portraits each with their own story. Really beautiful piece to own.
