[Pure Evil]

Live from the teenage reliquary, the last golden archipelago of memeory feats, the SAW archive in association with The Friends of Tony Romanoff presents a group show curated by Lucas Price.

Dalston as remembered by a dead academic, Whitechapel market pushed into a toilet cubicle of the Hacienda circa 1989, a high street photocopy shop with a walk through tour guided by Buckminster Fuller, the rose as a potential psychedelic catalyst. All of the works presented, and indeed the entire SAW archive concern themselves with the time leading up to the death of Ghostly Cassete and the threshholding of images therein.

Featuring selected photos, reproductions and installed restagings of events, you are invited to determine how this might have gone down.

I'm sure this will be a great show, but can't help but think Luc rushes his shows to do as much as possible in one year, I'd rather see him concentrate on one big show stopping show every two years.

He curated this show in Jersey last year and has been in group shows since, but no solo effort since "Jesus Help Me..."

Certainly looks that way from all the pictures I've seen.

Maybe you should go down there and check it before you slate it, seems a bit retarded to comment on a show if you've not been to it.

Nobodys slating it, just stating that from the pictures that have been posted here, by the gallery owner himself, it looks like a show that revolves around adidas. Can you not understand that?

Maybe some non brand related pictures of other pieces are needed for those of us who can't (be bothered) to go to the actual show to see what it's all about.

Just to be clear I wasn't slating, simply noticing that a sponsor has an awful lot of 'product placed' in the artwork. It's kind of beyond sponsorship and into a whole different ball game (no pun intended). I'm not questioning the art, more the placement of the sponsors logo's within a fair part of the work and also in most of the promotional imagery for the show.
