Its only 20" x 36" also, you'd think for that price it would be double that!

I don't get a lot of people on here!
I'd argue Faile's prices are the most well thought out in the scene. They price their work as best they can to the market. Deterring flippers/speculators is a great thing at this point in their career. They don't need to ride hype and make a potential quick profit the focus of their art. I'm sure they would rather these sell out slowly to be in top collections where they are going to stay.
The price for an original work, of that size, seems dead-on to me.
And for all those complaining about the prices - Faile has a huge variety of works for all different budgets (whether it be the more mass-produced Paper Monster print releases, lower edition print releases, unique prints, and different size originals). They go above and beyond to cater to a very diverse collector-base.
And NO - I didn't buy anything today.

Well said RBK.
Maybe they have outgrown this forum now and are looking at serious collectors only.
Let's face it, most of the 8000 plus "members" on here are speculators.

Is it sold out? I do not understand, all I have is "Next object available in 00:00" but no buy it now... No big deal as I do not want to buy but I would like to know how it works if one day, regarding another release, I want to buy something. I had the same thing with the blocks and missed it. And if I keep pressing F5, it is always the same message... I am such a noob ^^

Well said RBK. People need to forget where Faile where, we aren't going to get small edition originals for pennies so if you want affordable Papermonster is the way for prints (they are so much nicer than people give them credit). $9k for an OG from Faile doesn't seem a bad price at all and the scubahorse is huge!!

You might think that but there must be at least one serious buyer on here, hes just waiting until his mum goes out then BANG! her credit card gets the Biftas and he can tie wrap that bronze Donkey on the handlebars of his bike.

I'm not saying I like the prices but I'm not surprised. They still have the "cheap" stuff for the masses like the blocks.

it comes down to this.
if your in the market for a faile OG then you WILL buy this.. its absolutely amazing...
if your window shopping and thinking about money back vs flipping and not sure, you wont make the plunge...
this equation = the pieces going into the right hands..
faile have got it spot on.
wish i could afford that flag... wish wish wish..

Well to those who would love a Faile but are turned off by the price...
I have a classic Sexy Ads (brown) edition of only 12 and it is massive. I'd like to sell for around original issue price of $1,200. PM if interested.

Well it goes to people with lots of money. Not sure if those are the right hands just rich hands. right, like banksy originals that you all pine over are for the masses. I agree and if I were Faile I would try to get paid as well. I'm not mad at them at all. I'm just saying just because you have more money doesn't mean you will appreciate the art any more.

no you idiots. If people are so lazy they cant be bothered to find information or sign up for mailing lists on their own, why help them. If they were really into an artist they would seek out the info themselves.

"original" yet an edition of 20 doesn't justify the price tag... at least for me =/
