The self is what defines you, and what defines you then defines your artwork. At just 18 years of age, STYLO has already achieved things with his art that many double his age have not. With his work having already being exhibited and sold in galleries and art shows in Sydney, London and Singapore, big things are expected in this artist’s future. Inspired by skatepunk and rock cultures and influenced by hip hop, funk, blues, roots and most things musical – there’s nothing more fitting then to categorize the scene that surrounds this young artist as a traveling circus. This provides the unique sense of provocation and entertainment that fuels the fire of creativity in this young artist. His creative fires were lit at 15 after studying photography and he soon discovered the movement of pop/post modern and street art and developing and unquenchable passion for the works of such varied artists as Warhol, Anthony Lister, Bast, David Walker, Guy Denning, Pure Evil, Bansky, GAIA, Immant Stiller’s, Nanami Cowdroy, DAIN, Collin Van Der Sluijs, Derek Shumate, Miss Bugs, Blu artworks, Basquiat, Various & Gould, Shepard Fairey, Ron English and Ben Frost – and started to draw upon them for inspiration while developing his own style and unique amalgamation of contemporary design. While still at high school STYLO had his first print commissioned and subsequently sold at Art Sydney, Singapore Art Fair and Urban Uprising. Although it has been said that it is not only who you are underneath but what you do that defines you, STYLO remains being true to his roots on the streets of Sydney Australia and always embraces his home culture of eccentric and stylized poets, musicians, and mutual artists whose influences can always be referenced in a subtle way throughout his growing and ever changing work. Recently, reaching adulthood he hopes to push better and louder statements that to the world that will be hard to miss! Really like the work, particularly the right hand piece - Nicole Kidman?? Very skilled and evocative. However, ditch the press release - you don't need it.

hey guys - really appreciate the comments and feedback - nah it's not really a press release more so a covering bio to act as a background story... what damage can it do... it's there to be read for those who want to read it. Otherwise ignore it - easy done !
