Silky Please Can We Get Back New Artists Section?

I know its been asked before but cant remember the answer.
It was a great section for those who liked it but for those who didnt like it they now seem to be being a bit hard on artists showing new work on the main sections.
What do people think?

Yeah, I miss this section.

It would also make sense to list the artists that done have stars in alphabetical order..
its just a case of organization I guess, that would be better in the gallery lists too

I think the new artists board was too confusing possibly making some artists feel like they were not welcome to post on the main board, as if they were not good enough

Artists now have the choice of posting here in the main board, OR if they prefer in their own artist board if they have one, OR in the UK, Europe, North America Artist boards.

When Artist or Gallery threads from the main board drop down three or four pages they get moved into the correct Artist or Gallery board, to make it easier for people to find in the future.

The more often new threads and posts are made into an Artists own board, the more often it will be moved onto the front page of the forum.

Of course if an Artist that nobody seems interested in spams the main board I will move their thread into the Artist boards, so not to clog up the main board too much.

Its been given a good go, but I don't think it really worked I fear in some peoples minds it was more about keeping artists work that they don't like off of the main board, rather than encouraging new Artists, and giving them the opportunity to get their work seen on the forum.

Where do new artists post their work... just for feedback, rather than selling? Is there a section for that?
