I'm not feeling the new prints at all. I much prefer the full colour Bast pieces. The low edition Paper Monster drop from last summer was much better.

I'm pretty sure those oversold. Fingers crossed though. I really think The Nose will be ace in person. I would grab it except it will be a while before I can frame it and with the sand I cant put it in a flat file or keep it in the tube and be confident it'll be in decent shape.

I'm very tempted, but held off for the same reasons, and most of all because (please don't kill me, y'all) it's not my favorite Bast. I think if I bought it, I'd only be buying it because it was rare, not because I really liked it. So in the end I'll pass. Love that Popeye, though. Tar-Tar's stunning visually, just don't know if I want a giant Gaga on the wall. Plus it would be a nightmare to store, just like the Nose.

interesting to see that the nose was printed with Plastisol ink as this is normally used for tee shirts and has to be heated to a silly temperature to get it to dry.

can anyone think of why it was used

Many environmentally friendly companies are starting to use NON PLASTISOL inks in their textiles. That stuff is brutal on the environment.

It also doesn't make sense for an artist to use ink that needs to be heated up to 177 degrees either.

only reason I can think of after reflecting on it is so that it would stay wet whilst he added some texture and sand and that you can apply plastisol thicker than normal paper ink without it cracking.

might have something to do with the way the sand adheres to the ink? my 'sandy sellers' coa states he used plastisol ink as well..

I really liked Ta Ta, but as said already i'm not sure I could live with Lady Ga Ga on my wall. Not that it matters as i missed out, and have spent far too much this year already. Great prices on all the pieces, well done to those that picked something up.
