Lots of his mural work around from where I lived in downtown Valencia (until recently). His eyeballs are pretty much everywhere - especially in El Carmen.
new ESCIF film now on pictures on walls - www.picturesonwalls.com/home.asp - it looks like it's open doors for tonights opening? anybody going? - Ann(orak)
Should maybe have released a small edition print before hand?
and see it not sell ?
If people are interested they will google the dude (if they dont already know him) and look at some work, then maybe decide to go to the show. To me it seems a good but different way of doing it, go see a body of work and see what the guy is about. Seems better than judging him on one print.
If you like the dark humour of Banksy and Dran or the surreal qualities of Blu then this is the may be for you. Also if you also liked the part in Banksy's Bristol show where you could see all his sketches then this will have a similar vibe.
is he REALLY "pretty much the most interesting graffiti artist in the world right now" ?
haha, was wondering about that too..
I carved my initials in some girls behind[br][br]FS: 2 x Martin Whatson OG. 2 x Adam Smithmada OG. PM for pictures.[br][br]Looking to buy: Adam Neate streetpiece, Pizzabox or early canvas. Please get in contact!
I thought the show ranged from brilliant to terrible and lazy. For those that haven't been, the above photo is pretty representative of 2-3 walls inside POW. For me there was too much work, and quality control should have been higher. The print is priced at £85, I cant imagine most of those originals are a lot more than that. anyone have an idea on prices at the show?
I would add, that pretty much every 'street piece' I have seen without exception I have loved. For me Escif falls in the Dolk camp of best in class on the street, but not great/doesn't work indoors.

it's definitely not 'of' the British scene and by that I mean not immediately accesible, contrite, or pretty but somewhere in there is some genius, but you have to wade through A LOT of dross to get there
