Just saw on breakfast telly this morning that the new Kate Moss book by Mario Testino is coming out.

It's another massive Taschen edition with 1500 signed copies .
13 x 18 inches and 230 pages.

$500 or £300 is the price and you can pre order now on the Taschen site for August release.

Doubt they'll hang about long so get yourselves button pressing if interested and if you want to spend that kind of dosh on a big book.

An opportunity missed, although i doubt if she would be up for signing 1500 books. Actually I doubt if she could lift the book, it's a bit of a beast.

I noticed the Helmut Newton Sumo book put out by Taschen in a limited edition of 10,000 copies is now in excess of $10,000 each from dealers.

I can tell you you can get a first edition signed SUMO fro around £6000 if you know where to look - the Testino book ain't in the same league - though will undoubtedly be a good seller

Like I said, if you're a big Testino fan it's a fine buy. But to the casual fan $400 a signed book like this is not exactly a "deal" based on my experience with Taschen. Sorry if that offends you.

Reminder, you can see a Testino exhiibtion this week at PdP and in fact you can even download and print a testino book online for free. Or they're probably for sale for a nominal charge at Phillips. If I were in London I'd go, but hey I'm just a miserable old git who likes seeing Kate's nips, so what does that tell ya...
