This is just a warning for those who is interested in buying Takashi Murakami's "Flower Cushion" etc. I found the following website offering fake copies ("1:1 replica products" in their own words) of these popular cushions. These fakes seem to be originated from China. They even come with a fake Kaikai Kiki tag.
After comparing the materials and shapes between the real and fake ones, I suspect that these fakes are being sold on eBay as genuine items, with the seller listed as being from Hong Kong. Most worryingly, a one-man gallery, who also appears on here occasionally and deals on eBay as well as his own website (with increasing amount of Murakami prints), has bought several of these from the suspected seller. Be warned.
I also highly suspect that the Yosh!tomo Nara The Little Wanderer on offer is also a fake, as the design of the bottom of the sculpture is different from the real ones. (The wheels as well as the lack of screws)
I am not going to name the gallery outright (although you will find it on the above seller's feedbacks), because to be fair he has not put the cushions on sale, and he might have just bought them for personal use.
The gallery is now selling the highly suspicious cushions as genuine items. Please be aware. He bought these items from a eBay seller (from Hong Kong, not Japan) who sells these most likely to be fake copies of the Murakami cushions.
I don't intend to contact the Lieberman Gallery myself, but he has posted in this forum in the past when he tries to sell prints. He knows what he is doing.
I just want to warn people about it. It is a fairly common knowledge that there are a lot of fakes around (of these cushions), especially on eBay where this gallery bought them from.
If Michael is the Lieberman Gallery, then I guess I am referring to him. This is not personal in any way. I simply have noticed him (on eBay) purchasing these very suspicious items.

I went to Perrotin myself yesterday. posted a few pics on my facebook profile if interested. Not a fan of Murakami but the quality of prints is really impressive in flesh.
