I can't remember who on here owns the Matt Small landscape (on metal I think) but although he is well known for his portraiture, you knew instantly it was his work by the voice, regardless of shift in subject matter. I tried to apply the same theory with this New York street scene. The challenge was to capture the movement, drama and energy of the subject but at the same time using the same pallet and style of my portraiture work. I'm not sure if it works but it was really fun to do and it's always good to have a little change.

Thanks for posting those Topboy - couldn't find the one I was thinking of but these will do nicely. Love the bottom one, do they belong to anyone on here? I would be interested in what material they were painted on. The bottom one looks like an Ikea flat pack.

Quality hanging there Carl... really liking the portraits bram but the the NY street scene is probably my fave. Just a quick question tho, what happens if paint on another day!?
