Phenomenology 0.1 Debut screen-print release from Remi/Rough. November 10th 2010 sees the first ever 'official' screen print release, Phenomenology 0.1, from artist Remi/Rough through Laura McNamara Ltd."Phenomenology attempts to create conditions for the objective study of topics usually regarded as subjective: it seeks through systematic reflection to determine the essential properties and structures of consciousness and conscious experience."Phenomenology is as close to a Remi/Rough original as print can get. The textures and layers have been meticulously put together to have a direct dialogue with his paintings. The screen print is 4 colours, 80cm x 80cm and is an edition of 50 only! All editions are signed and numbered by Remi/Rough. The prints will be selling at £125.Remi/Rough was born in 1971 and was an integral part of the UK graffiti scene for over a quarter of a century. His work has since abstracted into geometric swashes of colour, tension filled shapes and broken lines. Remi/Rough has recently shown his work in Santander, Berlin, New York and San Francisco as well as his home city of London. He was recently commissioned to create an installation for the Museum of Fine Art in Santander and he was also invited to give a talk at the Tate Modern as part of the Street Art Series exhibition. Remi is also one of the key artists behind the World renowned art collective; Agents Of Change. Phenomenology will be available to buy from www.lauramcnamara.co.uk on 10th November 2010 at 12 noon. really? I reckon 125 quid for a paper aeroplane is pretty steep myself, but then I'm a poor artist.

very nice to see this! noticed it on Laura's site, hoped for screenprint as I expected it to be giclee.. Nice surprise!
Hope the edition will sell, good price!
any chance "Parallel", "you're reading far too much in this" or "son of Fall" wil make it to a print? Those are my absolute favourites..

Glad we have shared opinion about Giclee! you painted over parallel? AARGH! Did Van Gogh paint over his sunflowers? No. Why not? Because they look great! Did Millais paint over Ophelia? NO, it looked too good... Hlarmy, is Son of Fall the one you have on your wall? Need to visit you once.. when you're not at home

Go on then Jopkop, any excuse although the photo doesn't do the piece justice: You're always welcome around here for a cup of tea by the way, as long as you bring that nice canvas you have as a token of your appreciation - you know, the one you've just had re-framed
