I'll second Fragile's vote for the Burning Candy crew ! Their works bring smiles to the faces of even the non-believers .....
Some of my co-workers have got Toofy Smiles on their desks after blagging stickers off me, and then they've spotted street pieces at the weekends and start telling their mates who they're by, so the word is spreading .............

Jonathan Yeo Pam Glew Matt Small Guy Denning Remi Rough Have all of those done stuff on the streets this year? Has Banksy done any street work in the UK this year? Does this category cover work done in the uk or uk artists wether the work was in the uk or not?

I think the winner should be Mau Mau, for quality both of subject matter and location. Always topical and uses humour to make a point. As the kids say Legend as well as being a top bloke
If you want a few more names obviously Mr Walker and most of the people at Upfest this year

the canal stuff !
ah ok .
talking of which i nominate - King Robbo and Team Robbo
while we are at it do are we supposed to nominate crews like Heavy Artillery crew, the Trans Penine Nomads, Burning Candy, The Aagh crew, or all of the writers from each of those crews as individuals.
Is there a place to nominate events that do so much good work and raise profile of charities like the recent white street party , and especially UpFest (if any one deserves awards its these guys rather than profiteering galleries in my opinion of course.)

I would second an award for the Upfest team, this year's event moved onto another level and to be honest I only saw a bit of it. Wicked vibe to whole weekend

I think really we should stick to the individual Artist names, rather than Crew names coz it might work out unfair to the Artists who work on their own. Also some people might only like particular parts of the group pieces.

Common sense surely needs to be used

But I don't think as an event it can really fit in this category If anything I would say in the Gallery awards, as UpFest was a show that also sold art. I know its not ideal, but I think thats the best fit. Agree! Great to have UpFest up for an Award

If we have both Crew and Individual, that means you can vote BC or individual artist if you wish Plus remember your gonna have more than one vote per category. So you could vote BC and a few of the individuals as well!

Silky - Was not suggesting Upfest for this award, Mau Mau was my winner and a few of the upfest crew, obviously named as individuals deserving a nomination.
Was seconding the fact Upfest team / organizers should get an award, your the boss so will leave it to you to decide whether you think Upfest should be nominated in gallery section or have new category for event!!
