Invitation to Jef Aerosols 1st UK Solo Show, by Blind Angle on Jan 28, 2008 10:25:36 GMT 1, Dear All
We will hereby invite you all to the opening of "Spray it Loud", Jef Aerosol's first solo exhibition in the UK.
We are very proud to present this Blind Angle's maiden exhibition and hope that as many as possible of you will join us. Jef has been working flat out lately on new work and he we be present at the opening too.
For Spray it Loud, Jef Aerosol will take over a converted church opposite Holloway prison. Using his library of stencils walls inside the church will be covered with his iconic characters on canvas, cardboard and on the walls. One wall will be converted into a live project wall (which Jef will stencil on during the exhibition (Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th February). The whole sprayed and pasted cardboard wall (excluding the works pinned on it) will be auctioned of to the highest bidder. The auction will start on the opening night and close on 22nd February 6PM. The highest bid will be continously updated on Blind Angle. After the auction starts bids can be submitted to contact@blindangle.co.uk or on 07766508368.
Another wall will be a projection wall where images of Jef’s ‘Street’ stencils and paste ups will be screened.
Available at the exhibition will be signed copies of “VIP Very Important Pochoirs”, a fully colour illustrated book of Jef Aerosol’s work. On the opening night Blind Angle will release a limited edition screen print ‘Sitting Kid’. The print is printed on Arches 88 paper, measures 56 x 76cm, edition of 100 and will cost £80. Jef's trademark arrow will be hand stenciled on each print. Unfortunately we can only accept cash payment for the new print and the book at the exhibition venue.
Pictures of the new print will be posted before the opening of the exhibition.
