I've been thinking a lot about these books. In the end I'm going to buy the cheapest version from Amazon.ca, I think it was like $45, free shipping. I would have paid the $69 for the signed but then an extra $30 for shipping, didn't seem worth it. Plus it is "signed" Faile. That isn't even a person, so I don't even know who signs that? Do they both do some or is it how does that work? Anyway I think that is my favorite cover so I can see paying $250 for the screen print ones. I did think about the $500 version. They look nice but I think I'd be afraid to damage them so I wouldn't read it anyway. i think I can find pints that I like more for the money. Anyway that was my thought process, for what it is worth. i am looking forward to reading the book and maybe it will inspire me to buy a more pricey version or a Faile print. Congrats to all who took the plunge and got the book. it's a collective - they do the work together so it doesn't really matter who signs it of the two - "Faile" signed it - if it comes to sigs it is one of the more impressive ones they are not afraid to use the whole page  |

Erm... isnt that entering into the realms of Comic Book Guy? who knows who signs it? could be the cleaner then on her way out throws a cup of coffee all over it while her cat coughs furballs over it to give you more for your money!. Im guessing however they just sign it though, all six of them.

Call me old school but I think they should both sign things. If you are a collective of 2 it shouldn't be a big deal to both sign stuff, no? At least if it is going to cost me an additional $50 or what ever. But then again, I'm cheap |

really? Weak. Worst Faile image ever. Studio it is then. Just heard from Faile that the reverse of the Gestalten book is Faile Stab. |

Even when there were three in the collective they signed themselves faile. I can't see that there is anything wrong with that. As you say it's just a signature. I remember a few years ago people were saying what was the point of Banksy signing a print when it wasn't even his real name!

It's kind of ridiculous.. Most of warhol's print were not even signed by warhol (they were signed by his manager) until probably the 70's.. So it doesn't really matter who signed the prints (even if it's the dogwalker who signed them), doesn't change if is good or bad.

Missed out on the Laz release and thought I had missed the Faile release but after 3 hours of persistance have just managed to bag the Artists Edition Number 4 I have been after all day...mission accomplished!
Very chuffed!

To me the point of buying the signed Studio edition is to have something more personalized by the artists, not something that they didn't even see. I am of course trusting that it is signed by the Patricks, by one of them or by both.
And the blind stamp looks really nice too.

Get your point jS and totally respect that, twould be lost on me though as i would just stash it on the bookshelves when i had flicked through, more interested in the content than who signed it really.

It was so nice to speak with them here in Lisboa when they were building the temple. It made a huge difference to me, they are real people that I saw and with whom I interacted:)

Was their fallout that bad?
