Was just wandering round Westbourne in Bournemouth today and could not believe my eyes when I saw a shop window full on EINE walked in to be confronted by walls of Banksy, D*Face, Insect, Shepard Fairey you name it, they had it! Metropolis Art 65 Seamoor Road, Westbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH4 9AE www.MetropolisArtworks.comHad a great chat with Vicki and the rest of the staff there all very friendly, and really knew their stuff. Said they visit the forum regularly but have not joined yet! Hope to see you here soon Anyway, highly recommend visiting this new gallery if you ever down in that part of the world.

Also they seemed to have a very good framer on board there so if your after getting some pieces framed and your local, this could be a good place to contact.

Also had a chat with them about the gallery being the location of the UrbanArtAwards The only worry I have is would enough people travel down from London and Bristol for the event? what do you think? Would be interested in a bit of feedback

I was very impressed with the framing there the framer has a good eye for colour. I will call by again at some point to take a few photos to show what I mean.

Would the BIC not be better suited for UAA? www.bic.co.uk/Are they bike friendly Silky? Might pass through during a big ride this week, though no offense it's summer and reckon it would better to go beach and look at the peaches Winter & Warmgun drop me a pm if you fancy hooking up and going to the beach errr i mean gallery

This is about 5mins away from my house, i went shortly after the opening. A great gallery with loads of good art, some great banksy's, Nick Walker, Yeo, Micaleff, shep, insect, dface, blek, connor harrigton to name a few, all prints no originals from what i saw. Yeah, some great framing there also.

Thanks Silky - glad you liked it! Would be great to welcome you all to the gallery. Not blowing our own trumpet but our framing really is stunning, virtually all of the pieces in the gallery were framed in house and we are very happy with the result! We would be pleased to offer a discount of 10% to anyone who mentions 'Urban Art Association' on the cost of any framing they wanted done. We have a lot more pieces in stock, our website is under construction but you can keep up to date by joining us on Facebook. All the best, Metropolis.

Is this a gallery just for the 2nd hand market? They do sell new work by a few artists, but possible not ones that we normally talk about on here. They are a very new gallery and from what I hear they are starting to talk with more artists about future releases and shows.

They are a very new gallery and from what I hear they are starting to talk with more artists about future releases and shows. I bought my 1st banksy from a gallery in the north east what had links with Pow. But they mainly sell local artist with a few larger names. No one talked about on here but this has helped them be a sucesful gallery. A gallery only aiming for the 2nd hand market talked about on this forum without having some of there own artist will struggle. Helping the up and coming local artist being from this scene or not always helps.

Looks an impressive gallery. Could be called the Banksy Forum Gallery judging by the work in there.

We went to a show at Metropolis Art last night It was really about the display of Damien Hirst butterfly pieces they had up in the back of the gallery, but they also had a few Banksy, D*Face, Paul Insect, Nick Walker. Really nice to meet a few forum members there as well Blows me away to hear how much people love the forum, and its always interesting to hear how people use the forum in different ways. Thanks!
