dear silky or to whoever else this concerns, I am sure you have heard this bef ore but I would like to speak on behalf of myself and all the other computer illiterate members out there. When it comes to posting pictures on this forum ( something which is hugely significant for all manner of reasons) it is far too technological and complicated for us mere mortal users. Surely in this day and age something can be done about this to make it easier something along the lines of e bay which I can even manage. To all the users who try to help out with instructions thanks but to be honest we cant make head nor tail of them. heres hoping Rinaceirde

its really easy, theres no need for complicated loading things.
if you want to upload a pic:
1. grab the image url (or if you are posting your own photo then upload to photobucket and grab the url)
2. paste it into your post message
3. just above is a little image icon, select the whole url and click that button, it will put a [ img ] [ /img ] code at the end
and thats it

Hello Rinaceirde I know exactly what you mean, as I am not too good with computers either. Bit old I think! It might help if another computer illiterate person tries to explain. A very kind forum member had to take me through the process on the phone!!
This is how I do it.
1 - open a photobucket account. I didnt realise this at first, but I think that anyone can see the pics you put on the account.
2 - Click on the big button that says "upload pictures"
3 - Find the pic you want from your computer, and double click it/or click ok or open. The pic will then upload onto your photobucket site/account.
4 - Once there, you go to your album, and hover the curser over the pic you want to post on the forum. You then get 4 boxes below the pic - Email, Direct link, html and img code. I have no idea what the first 3 do or mean.
5 - Right click mouse on 4th box - img code, and then click copy.
6 - go back to your message box on the forum, and simply click paste into the message you are writing.
7 - Before posting, I tend to click preview first, to make sure that the pic is there/correct/doesnt have a reflection of me in me undies taking the pic!
I hope this helps. Get back to me if not, and I will try to help. For all the computer literate types here, apologies for the incorrect terms I have no doubt used!
Cheers c

As long as there is an "all sizes" button once you hit it, and they allow you to share photo, or again it's one of yours, then you should see this, just like in photobucket... You can copy and paste the url from here, below the photo, you can also resize the photo for the forum, i suggest either small or medium. Presuming you do not get the url, in internet explorer you can right click on the image and the url will appear like this: You can then copy and paste the url from here, although you probably dont have permission if you have to do this and should (in both cases) add a link back to the flickr photo page as a source. post between the ![]() [/img] as already explained. good luck, and remember...its not rocket science! ;D

I hear you FR and Walshy. It's just sometimes, if you aren't computer literate, believe me, it has to be explianed in a really basic, non jargon way. It had to be done like this for me! Edit - and the OP had said s/he couldnt understand explainations already given (nor could I!). Anyway, just trying to help. Cheers c

About a year ago flickr introduced the creative commons license for its members, allowing then to choose if their photos can be used by others, in blogs, print, digitally etc etc. For all those members who chose to reserve all rights to their photos, the "all size" button was removed from their account, so other web users could not get the full original sized photo without permission. The flickr system never changed, just its members. Make sense?

Attention MacBook Users - 1. open up an account with www.photobucket.com2. go to upload image 3. once image is uploaded goto the box that say's IMG next to the image and highlight it 4. goto to EDIT on the top left of your toolbar and click on copy 5. go to www.banksy.info and goto the link you want to respond to 6. click in the reply box and goto edit on your toolbar and hit paste The image doesn't show up immediately but words do - you can check if you did it right by going to last 100 posts and see if your post and image are displayed.

yeah, exactly, but didn't know if Rinaceirde wanted to post his own photo or illustrate a point with someone elses... sourceI think you are missing my point. Ive used flickr for 6 or 7 years, then suddenly last week the layout all changed including the code on my own images... thus making the whole process a lot more complected than it needed to be

Hey mate, Sorry, think I missed a bit. Go to 4th box down, IMG Code, and left click it first. The code should turn blue. Then right click and select copy. See if that works. c
