Here is the release info for the upcoming MEAR ONE print. As a heads up too, we have a silk-screen print in the works at Modern Multiples as well. Richard Duardo has been awesome and given us some amazing opportunities that we are already working on now. We are definitely elated to be continuing the "David and Goliath" series with Richard and Modern Multiples. We will keep you posted as the image for the screen-print progresses as well...

On Friday, May 14th, “The Allegory of Complacency” will be released through the Baurmann Gallery and MEAR ONE. The limited edition giclee was printed at Modern Multiples studio and includes the Modern Multiples chop. Please see below for information on the release date and pricing information.
MEAR also briefly explains the synopsis of the piece below:
From MEAR: This was a symbolic interpretation of Plato’s radical poem called “The Allegory Of The Cave” written some 2,500 years ago. It’s meaning was to explore the human need to grow and learn, curiosity and complacency are the polarities of this tale in which I love to illustrate. This piece is telling how we all hold the key to our liberation and what happens when we unconsciously give our attention to the system.
“Allegory of Complacency” by MEAR ONE Size: 16" by 29" Limited Edition Giclee on Moab Entrada Edition Size of 25, each one being signed/numbered MEAR ONE 2010(plus 2 AP’s, 2 PP’s) All artwork: MEAR ONE [based on original acrylic painting titled “Allegory of Complacency”] Cost: $185 (USA orders) – including USA shipping Cost: $200 (INT orders)– including INT shipping
Release Information: To be released on 5/14/10 at 1 PM PDT for $185 for USA orders (including USA shipping) & $200 for international orders (including INT shipping). Editions to be shipped on or before 5/19/10 via USPS priority mail or USPS priority mail international.
Purchase Information: To purchase, please email info@baurmanngallery.com on or after 1pm PDT with a request to purchase the giclee. The limited editions will be sold on a first come, first serve basis (based on time of the purchase request emails sent). Confirmation/purchase instructions will be immediately mailed back if your order request was received before they are sold out.
