Friend of mine is working there, they watched as two guys did it, sent me the piccy and i posted it literally as it was still wet! well it might be a Banksy but that doesn't mean he actually put it up. who's to say that he still puts his own stuff up?!

Here's hoping that those that were so cynical about it on here and the other forums enjoy there humble pie and at least post an apology or send me one. Yeah I hope those concerned sent their grovelling apologies. Come on, if it wasn't for this guy spotting it you would never known about it, it would never have come to light and no one else would have ever discovered it and for that reason you lot should all be grateful!!

I'm not going to apologise for having an opinion right or wrong, still think it's pretty poor work if it is by banksy given the error with perspective of the two guys. Still hope you all enjoy yourselves and the festivities.

as a non native speaker I have sometimes trouble understanding sarcasm or jokes in English too.. maybe this happened with Tony Santos?
well.. lets get back to the piece..
watching it again it could also be interepreted that the man on the ground is trying to reach to the standing man.. that would make no sense but his body position is suggesting it to me.. But I can't explain what that would mean though :s..

but back to the art...
I'm not convinced as the rest of you guys that this is a Banksy.. The general quality of the image within the level of detail looks a little bit amateur for me, as does the general composition of their bodies. Just doesnt look right to me.. also... whats with those random figures in the original pics? that would be a first for banksy..

Well here's where i throw my opinion in. We all know that Banksy uses images to create his image, collages if you will! If the two characters are from different images then thats why they have more of an overlay look as opposed to two characters interacting with each other, you'll find that alot of stencil artists seem to make this mistake, well the ones that don't draw but use photoshop to create there images. A lot of the time people think more about the composition of the image as a whole as opposed to how varying elements work with each other within the finished image. Thats probably whi his pieces with singular characters work best as somebody has already mentioned the sniper image and thats obviously been referanced and used to form a collage. Then again i could be wrong

am still not convinced.. just because its a witty slogan in normal writing, doesnt automatically make it a Banksy...
