i know, special editions kinda sucks but i could not resist in doing this print with some different background and thanks god (or whoever helped me with this since god usually does not give a sheet about us all) the artist was into it here they are : just 25 copies all different and with weird splatter/shades backgrounds. i'll keep you posted about this release. a

THAT IS SICKKKK. I have been wanting to get Demos for ages - it has been the price that has been putting me off - but I guess this is going to be even more expensive!? Especially at the current exchange rates!
But it's awesomeness might clinch the deal!

yes, the price is going to be higher, still to fix though. i'd suggest you to be quick if you were thinking to pull the trigger on the regoular edition of demos since there are really few copies left brrrrrrrrr

I think that's the best print he's done! Normally i think his stuff has a better impact on the street and doesn't transfer well to prints but that piece clearly does. Lovely!

top notch. Loved the standard edition too, but not ideal for my walls at home, it freaked my wife too. This looks EVEN better imo. Nice work Angelo.

Eh? Who did the hand finishing? Blu or the printer?

I think this is Blu's best print to date. I'm not sure about the special edition, but the regurlar version is awesome.

I have a lot of respect for Studio Cromie, but it always annoys me a bit when more limited special editions, that were not announced at the time, are released after the original run. This is because it means that people who come late to the party, potentially get something better than those who purchased and gave their support to the original release.
By all means make short run special editions - but please make and sell these BEFORE the main run (or at the same time) - not AFTER it. That way, those who purchase first get the limited special versions, instead of those who purchase last.

Lot of respect for Studio Cromie as they seem to be doing more for Blu's career than POW have done. Nice big prints, low editions are the way forward for him. POW had no understanding of this when they brought him on board. They just booned a load of s**t images withiout any thought for the artist's future. World Wide Trap was the exception, but the edition was still to high.

hello spirit, you know what? i totally agree with you.
seriously. special editions are really lame to me as well
the thing is that this is our first and only special edition and really, i could not resist with this one. i'm so much into this print that i really really did not want it to die with the yellow one.
about timing of the release, sometimes is just more complicated then we could expect to make things work, at the time we released the yellow one we did not have that much time to talk or think about this special copies. we just thought these would have been the artist proof but then i realized i had more then 10% of the edition size and thought it would have been better to release them as another edition rather then 25 artist proofs.
it's also because some time you just like to play with prints not thinking too much about who's gonna buy it, who bought it, who will like it or talk about it, this is my own "printer" point of view.
then again, i understand your point of view and apologize with you and others that bought the first version and like this one better.

Slightly off topic, but Studio Cromie is easily the nicest gallery to buy work from. I purchased a couple of Ethos prints last year and they came with a free special edition print. The quality of the releases and the customer service is so far beyond LAZ and POW it's ridiculous.

Hi Angelo - Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Like you, I'm really into this print too (one of the reasons why I don't really want to see more added to the edition now!).
From your reply it seems that these 25 were actually printed at the same time as the main run, just not released or mentioned then. Until you said that I presumed you had printed these more recently. Given they were already printed, I would have really liked to have seen them released at the same time as the main run - or at least a mention given to the fact that a special edition of 25 would be released at a later date, if a simultaneous release would have proved too complicated. That way I could make an informed decision about whether I wanted to purchase the main edition or wait for the special.
Having said that, I understand what you saying about playing with the print from a printers point of view and being so into it that you don't want to see it die.
Anyway, it's no big deal, just a thought for next time (if there is a next time). I appreciate the apology and I look forward to seeing what future releases Studio Cromie has in store for us.

What a cracking print..by far the best edition I've seen from blu to date..Studiocromie seem to have accrued a fine collection of talented artists and really seem to have passion in their products. Also,I agree entirely with spirit's point, how nice though, that you just know it'll be taken onboard.

I still get excited when I see Blu's work. I feel the same as I did when he released WWT on POW last year. I think he is the most gifted artist on this board by a country mile. His style is unique and his animations are pure genius. I would love to see him do some GIANT prints in tiny editions of say 3 or 5. I would love to have a 4ft by 6ft Blu print on my wall. That would really get my juices flowing.
