I'm surprised there's no separate Charming Baker forum. I LOVE his work. I'm waiting on receiving his "Carnality May Make Animals Of Us". Really thrilled to have managed to purchase it.

Hey sarnia - welcome to the forum ! I don't know much about Mr Baker but what I've seen I like - particularly the fact that his paintings are quite mysterious / surreal. Any idea what Charming's plans are for this year and do you have any images of the piece you've bought - it'd be really interesting to see.

I'll certainly take some photo's of it when it arrives (it's with the couriers as we speak). I should receive it Tuesday or Wednesday next week. It's this one: www.charmingbaker.com/work.php?type=ORIGINALS&id=87 and measures 3ft x 3ft.

I know that Charming has a show in Berlin and San Francisco this year. He's also going to be included in a show at a MAJOR London gallery at the end of this year but I'm unsure if I was told that in confidence or not so I'd best not say just in case!

Yes Charming Baker is doing a show at Signal Gallery Hoxton in Sept this year. Should be good.

Wow - sounds like its gonna be a busy year for him - it'll be interesting to see if his style and subject matter develops with his new work. Just checked out his site and I really like it though personally I'm not so keen on his pieces with the cctv/war imagery (guess i'm getting a little tired of that stuff...) but I like the canvas you went for - its got a lot going on and should have some interesting textures and more detail in the flesh. Do post photos when it arrives!

LOL, Thanks Coach. I found out what it is by using Shazam on my mobile (what an idiot - never realised it was on the video)

I'm wondering what mix it is, because I can't find a version with that funky guitar sound - unless its being mixed into something else.

OMG!! My Charming Baker piece arrived today. Is this guy a genius or what?! He employs so many different techniques all to fantastic effect. Charming is the real deal. No doubt about that.

I'll take some photo's tomorrow in daylight and post them here (if I can?).
