Hi Chaps
Can anybody recommend insurers for signed prints, banksy, peter blake, walker etc etc?
Naming the pieces on my home contents insurance causes no end of issues, new locks, alarms systems, proof of worth etc.
Cheers

haha... i always find it interesting when these threads come up... Banksy is a bit of an anomaly in the world of insurance because his art is actually recognized by thieves! So unfortunately a Banksy print is much more susceptible to theft than say a much more valuable Richard Prince print or even a Warhol Print (I did know someone in LA who had his Pettibone stolen because the thief was a Black Flag fan). Also, given the amount of Banksy works that "circulate" on ebay, it is nearly impossible to track down the stolen goods (although for the insurance-less, a photo of the print and edition with COA can often help in property disputes, however, if it has changed hands more than once since being stolen it becomes nearly impossible to get back).
