Hold on now buddy - he is greatly appreciated here - just not by a couple of knuckleheads - Banksy should just go bonkers all over the city, instead! I'm sure he is. To bad the few who don't mess it up for everyone else. I wish he would go all out, would be awesome to see like 5 pieces popping up a day.

The Statue of Libery Piece has been covered up by OMAR. Pretty s**tty I was really wanting to see that one. I guess it was in Long Island City. This is so poor!!! Looks like that NYC is a hard place for Banksy. Some lousy taggers want some "team robbo" fame or what the hell shout that crap mean??? f**k it!

you can argue about "tastefully" and there are also millions of other walls that team robbo could bomb to get fame

A stencil has showed up in New York separating the sidewalk into 2 lanes "TOURISTS" on one side and "NEW YORKERS" on the other side - could it be by Mr. B

A picture of the stencil is on www.gothamist.com - I have no idea how to cut and paste as usual - and no I don't work for this website just trying to share some info. with the forum.

Thanks for the heads up. Don't know if it's Banksy or not but I find it quite funny.

It seems that these have been popping up a 3 different spots around the city - they were originally spotted about 3 weeks ago so probably not Mr. B - but definitely his M.O.

have you noticed how Banksy's not puttting his Banksy tag at the end of his pieces now. Is this a cop out, I mean if he gets caught he could just say he's someone else, and doing it for the first time, rather than getting the stick for all his past works. Seems the signature of authenticity is just being replaced by the piece popping up on his website.

It is my belief that Banksy only tags the one he actually does himself - I hope he wouldn't let some kid from from a PR agency do his tag -
