uh oh: Hi All Firstly, thank you for all your support. You've left us with a task sorting through the emails Unfortunately at first look, due to our primitive web site and having to manually operate it, we will have to make a few refunds... The response was so overwhelming and we've had so many emails since, that Miss is considering getting inky on the silkscreen bed and offering another short edition as an option for those who don't want a refund... This goes for the metal and the paper editions. Obviously it will be a different variant - not sure how this will work yet but will let you know and is totally up to you... The majority of you have managed to secure a piece and we will confirm this in the next 24 hours. Anyone who managed to order multiples will only receive one piece and will be refunded accordingly... We are working through all emails and we will contact you individually in the next 48 hours. Thank you very much for your patience. Enjoy a hot cross bun and a nice cuppa. Happy Easter!

Different variant a la Faile is at least a glimmer of hope though.

i hate to moan but f**k me, this always happens!
why don't they just use their website as a portfolio & use bigcartel for sales? it has inventory tracking! easy solution.
so the people who missed out might be offered a smaller editioned variant. where's the logic in that? i bought into an edition of 40, not 40 + a variant edition of 10 (for example). i'd rather they increased the original edition & issued partial refunds to successful buyers. or... give the unsuccessful buyers first dibs on the next release.
if a variant edition is a must, make that an edition of 40 too. sort out the people who missed out first, then put the rest on sale for the people who missed out altogether & the completists.
rant over.

The "smaller editioned" isn't too different from some artists' APs though. I forgot about the whole thing and went out for drinks instead...

three years ago, i picked up Wonderful Angel print direct....they took a few weeks to get it out to me... to be nice, they send me a scary mail out of their edition for free, they even paid for shipping, it was very kind.

dear Miss, if you're readin',
just give the loosers the refund... no love loss really... it's part and parcel of bunfightin'... expanding the edition or coming up with another one would only confuse, anger, etc etc.. refunding may not please everyone, but it is the most fair - first come, first serve.

For all those lads that would rather have a refund instead of a different edition...send Miss an email. However, maybe you should Start buying art you want to keep, not to resale. I, myself, would be all about a second edition if given the choice. Carry Your Sins with a silver star on the shield, instead of the goldleaf. I'd be ALL over that! (like Jesus on the payroll) this IS the last superhero image from MB! We want it! We do not want refunds!

BTW- hopefully Miss will issue a refund to that person first! sod off otto. i'm not hating on expressobeans, i happen to think it's a great site. but, it's a fact that there's a group of stout collectors that buy miss bugs to re-sell immediately. as i said, if a variant edition is a must, at least make the edition equal to the first.

Why not just make an edition of 1000 - after all, did Micallef no harm........
