I really like Audrey Kawasaki's work, I think she draws the most gentle female faces and is really talented. I also like how she often uses wood as a medium for her art.
The way she released the Mizuame print is very interesting and I like it because it enables her true fans to obtain her work at a reasonable price with no regards to edition numbers and the fear of flippers buying up the whole edition.

Mr G
Thanks for that, after having only seen the little pic they sent me via email, i was not wholly convinced that it was that good an image, but after seeing your large pic of it, I'm well chuffed i bought it.
My girlfriend was not happy at me purchasing it but after seeing that pic she's changed her mind too.
+1 my friend

guys I should have pointed this out to you but, you needed to order at least 31 min. ago - we haven't set our clocks back yet - so, our time is not what it should normally be this year.
did that make sense?

so it's not a one hour time limited edition then. Maybe I'm being cynical, but could it be coz they wanted to squeeze in a few more orders because they didn't get that many?

I bought a copy of her last print, memai. in the email reply, she wrote that the 100 or so prints sold in the first minute. perhaps that will give an idea of how large this edition will be. the esposa didnt like this one that much, so we passed on it. anyway... they are still for sale.

Message from Audrey Kawasaki: Hello, just wanted to say Thankyou for all your input concerning this print run. I'm glad most of you are pleased. I know in the past, many were disappointed for not being able to purchase a print, and i thought this would be a good opportunity/idea. The total came out to be seven hundred twenty something (still not positively sure) which, i think, is a reasonable edition size. There will be more prints in the future. The edition number will be back to 100-200. prices will remain as usual.
