Thought it was time to take a look back at some uncommon Banksy's from the 2000 era. Scary to think some of this stuff is coming on for ten years old now. All photos courtesy of flickr uploaders. These are the 2000 Rivington Street show - One from Severnshed www.flickr.com/photos/jerforceone/2057400929/in/pool-651750@N23^This one is pretty special and actually pre-2000 - click the link www.flickr.com/photos/jerforceone/1617465171^And speaking of Banksy T-shirts, this one is interesting. Always loved this... Seen versions of this sold of in isolated sections, but needs the whole series really From Severnshed maybe? Not sure.

That painting, Simple Intelligence Testing, was kept together (unless there are multiple versions of it) and was sold in February '08 for 636k GBP which is his highest non-collaborative price at auction. I'd be more than stunned to learn that the buyer sold some of the individual canvases from that composition as it would crush its value not to mention that I doubt (pure speculation on my part) that PC would authenticate any one of the canvases individually though I could well be mistaken.

To be honest that image on its own has always looked to me as if it's missing the second half of the painting. Was it ever done as a diptych?

As far as I know diptychs didn't make it to canvas, but there were a few of the single versions. Another here. Did your friend sell his piece at Dreweatts last autumn weeble? Another less detailed pic of it here

Jan 06 member eh? Old school, not many of the 06'ers left now. Bottom drawings are in Wall and Piece (not animated though!). Anyway cheers for adding to the thread. This one's on the street, from 1999 and includes a certain household object that's the centre of an upcoming show.

Did your friend sell his piece at Dreweatts last autumn weeble? Another less detailed pic of it here She certainly did! She didn't even know anything about Banksy until she saw the Dreweatts auction! She sold it though - for a tidy profit nevertheless! What I loved about it, was the serious amount of brush work. Not just your average stencil on a washed background! Very good quality piece. Other than a Bomb Middle England, reckon it was the best Banksy I've ever seen.
