Funny that they're sending out warnings hours in advance now. Used to be the print was sold out by the time you got this in your inbox. If POW ever releases another Banksy and warns people hours ahead of time, I thinky their site's gong to completely crash. Seems like an awfully big if now anyway...

i like vhils work and another great print!!! when the last on was released everyone wanted an image like the one from can's and here we have one. i think this will go down well but hope it will not be 275 again

It's ok, but I think we've all been spoilt by his piece at Cans. I think some artists don't transfer to prints very easily.

This one is better than the first from Vhils IMO
I agree though that his work is definately one of those that looks better on a wall than on a print!
These will be priced at the same I reckon £275, not a flippers dream as they sell for cost on Ebay so should let people who really like them have them on their walls???
Not for me though as I reckon it'd give the kids nightmares

overpriced...what a rippp off!!! how the hell can you say its a rip off, when you dont even know the price? Look, when it is released, why dont you make your opinions then, but to start speculating, that is ridiculous. I personally like Vhils, and I like this image, and put it this way, you wont get close to getting an original for less then £2500, so with that said, this is a great alternative or a great way to start collecting from an artist who is very talented and will be around for a long time to come. I really like this new piece, i would rather spend a bit extra and get a c215 original though. Id buy this depending on the price but it's gonna be at least the price of the last i think.

Get a C215 original instead, no disrespect to Vhils its decent work. the only thing they have in common is that they both paint portraits, the same can be said of Matt Small. all quiet different in technique and materials used. |

all you have seen of Vhils is the cans festival wall rendering, which was considered to be the piece of the show, a previous POW release, which was considered a great print at a great price, and the Vhils original at the Stolenspace collab show, which was again considered to be the piece of the show.
C215 - with the exception of the pieces at Cans, all the releases seem to be the same - i know because I have a few originals and they are very same same. Opus and Art republic prints - case in example

I like this....and compared with the similar C215 version it has a lot less bridges and, IMO, makes for a whole better portrait.

Difficult to tell from the small image, but I don't think this is stenciled. Looks like a screened photograph, using bleach as the ink onto the blue paint. I like the bridges on C215's work. It's part of his unique style. |
