i'd just like to add a few words on lucy,
as a person, she's really funny and friendly and she is always surrounded by cool and chilled friends. she likes what she is doing and, more important, she is often doing cool things like keep a breast or, more recently, workshops with kids with handicap and stuff like that wich is way more interesting than doing a show in this or that gallery or selling your pieces for this or that amount.
about her art, the thing that i really like in her art is the rare capacity of being graphical, she can draw a face and give it a feeling with just two lines. skills skills and talent.
first time i saw her painting was here in italy and she was doing a wall in comacchio, for SPINA festival (a really cool event), she was painting with ethos, erica il cane and blu. at the time i was just used to see how the italians paint, rough, dirty, big, fast and careless. wich is punk, and i love it, in that occasion though, the shock was to see how gentle and how fluid could Lucy paint. it took longer to finish her wall but at the end it was clean, beautiful and graphically perfect and balanced.
i woulndt feel stupid saying that she is my favourite artist on pow after blu (wich is one of my favourite artists in general)
i also can understand if some people is not 100% into her style, but at least we can all say we're talking of a genuine heart(ist).
well done to those that picked this print up!

i have a canvas where the detail is fantastic, if you look closely at the white, she has painted a base pattern in black, then painted over in white, so its hardly showing through

Just received mine and it looks fantastic in the flesh. Really nice paper as well.
Plus an added bit of fun ... a balsawood plane and a handfull of stickers!

gman, did u order an AP, or just get one randomly? I emailed her and asked for an AP if there were any after placing my order for the regular print run I heard nothing back then it arrived as an AP with the plane and stickers... WELL HAPPY! |

Gorgeous signed AP of this print, nicely framed, available. I think it says 1/1 - I'm at home but the print hangs at work, it lost the battle for home hanging with Televisual Mundane and Uncertainly Unsure. Its the one photographed by Annar 50 but its beautifully B&W, not sepia (lighting at that event was very low) Pls email nolionsinengland - gmail - com with expressions of serious interest. NOT PM thanks. CORRECTION It doesn't say 1/1. It does look beautiful. And no, this isn't my first day in work since Sunday, it just seems that way to my boss.  |

It's a pleasure to read a thread with so many happy people where not just the artwork but all the people involved in it are appreciated: the great printers in birmingham who produce such lovely (and affordable) prints, the very helpful and down to earth staff at beat13 and of course Lucy herself. Seems to me there's an applaudable comraderie amongst Lucy collectors, long may it continue. For anyone who missed my other threads here's some pics of the original(s) They really are something in the flesh so if you'd like to see them drop me a PM I'm based in London and always happy for fellow collectors to pop round for a cup of tea ...plus... wouldn't be a bad guess to assume part 2 might follow sometime though I've heard nothing definite myself      |

Wow I'm very jealous uglyiq. I'm tempted to just save up for originals in future they look great.
Has the bottom image been released as a print?
BTW I thought I was on the mailling list for Beat13 and I have bought Lucy's prints from there in the past but I never heard from them about this new print- did anyone else?

Lucy Mac just arrived. Superb, comes with 7 stickers and balsa wood plane. May be willing to swop for Blek's latest masterpiece, quickly becoming viewed as Iconic art as predicted in earlier post, ain't humility a wonderful thing. I know some of you are now apoplectically disturbed.

Mine had a small crease when it arrived but it disappeared once flat

The paper was a bit thinner than I was expecting so possibly easy to crease. It works well with the print though, wonder if part 2 will be released.

I have to say that this is one of the worst packaging jobs I have ever seen. Bent corners due to fruggleness of supplies. I would much rather have had a well packaged poster than 30 stickers and a little airplane.

Must admit that I am sorely disappointed with mine as well. A big nasty crease on the signature corner put a big dampener on opening this:'(

Have you guys contacted B13 to mention this? I had the same issue from Electrik Sheep recently but they were very happy to send a replacement. Why not see what Beat13 have to say about it? Packaging was not their strongest point when I bought from them either, but their customer care was beyond reproach. I'm sure they'll be keen to help you out if you get in touch. Sorry to hear about the damaged prints and good luck finding a solution.

the paper *is* very soft, isn't it. mine came pretty well packed with stiffer paper folded around the top and bottom of the print - realise this doesn't help those who got creases - hope everything gets sorted.
