Thanks for the heads up. I love this so much more than the studiochromie pieces. Just wish they were a bit smaller in sizer I'm running out of wall space. I love my original I got from the Fifty24SF show earlier this year which is about A3 size. I could do with a few more this size or smaller. Saying that it hasn't stopped me buying this one, I love the detail.

Well done on the heads up for this. Really lovely print. Just pocketed one myself. Lucy at her very best. Wasn't someone selling similar style original canvases to this the other day? Would have loved one or both of them but they wanted about 5k or something. Maybe one day...
Also, just my opinion but between this and Nola I know what I'd prefer on my wall.

Just wanted to give a big thank you for the heads up on this one. I've been looking to get my hands on a piece by Lucy for the last year or so, and this one is so affordable. I've got a big smile!

Gorgeous signed AP of this print, nicely framed, available. I think it says 1/1 - I'm at home but the print hangs at work, it lost the battle for home hanging with Televisual Mundane and Uncertainly Unsure. Its the one photographed by Annar 50 but its beautifully B&W, not sepia (lighting at that event was very low) Pls email nolionsinengland - gmail - com with expressions of serious interest. NOT PM thanks.

This is what I love about this forum.
I like Lucy's work and have a few pieces from when I was in my infancy of collecting and £50 seemed a lot (oh how I miss them days).
However there are so many places to look at on a continuing basis that you would do nothing other than looking at websites (a bit like painting the Forth Road Bridge) for fear of missing a nice piece at a nice price. Had it not been for the OP then I would have missed this for sure. Thanks again. KARMA due to you :-)

Am I the only one to think Lucy Mac is a tad over rated? Slightly with you Stuey, I can describe my opinion as she's great at what she does but im not sure if I love what she does.

Slightly with you Stuey, I can describe my opinion as she's great at what she does but im not sure if I love what she does. I totally understand how someone can feel this way about her work. Personally I love it! I'm very drawn to the smooth, flowing, natural line and the bold colours. I find her style extremely easy on the eye and that's enough for me to buy it. However, as a collector of her work and a huge fan of her art and style, I have often contemplated whether she's perhaps too niche for her own good. It takes nothing away from my enjoyment of her work whatsoever, but I'm not convinced it's varied enough in theme, for her to achieve huge success in the mainstream world of contemporary fine art. I think she could make a killing in a more design orientated field, mass-producing open-editioned stuff for retailers. Not only screen-prints, but printed fabrics for curtains and seating, or rugs or wallpaper....... I think the key to the above, is that she doesn't care! I don't know Lucy but have spoken at length with people who do and it seems that she's a modest person who's probably quite happy to be earning a living from doing what she loves! Personally I envy her (in the nicest possible way), because I do what I do to pay the bills and feed my family, not because it's my passion. She's shown her work all around the world, it is quite popular and she appears to love what she does. Sounds OK to me! I'm sure many an artist would give their eye teeth for similar, relative success.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there HC. Im certainly not opposed to Lucy's work in fact this print is the best I've seen available. Lucy's work is very craft oriented as she has shown with the ceramics for FAME.
Its a true gift to make a living doing what you love, for sure. I gleam what I can from my work but like most of us far from satisfying.

I love the work from afar, but the close up detail just doesn't deliver in the way some comparable artists do. The detail in a Micallef or a Faile is the best part of the work.
