Fair citizens of Banksy Forumland I need your help!!! I’m a saddo who likes writing Wikipedia pages. Back in October, I put together a Wikipedia page on our favourite shop shutter painter and screenprinter - BEN EINEWhilst I would not dare to call it comprehensive or even well written, it was, at least, a start. The problem with Wikipedia is that from time to time self appointed moderators of knowledge decide what is worthy and what is not. A campaign led by “12 noon” and backed by various Americans and Australians is trying to delete Ben Eine’s page. You can read what they have to say here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ben_Eine (you'll have to cut and paste this link) I would be really grateful if anyone can help save Ben Eine’s presence on wikipedia. What you can do:
1) Register with Wikipedia and get a username
2) Add an entry to the Wikipedia deletion discussion page on Ben Eine here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ben_Eine (again it's a cut and paste) Start your entry with “keep…” and say why he’s important to street art.
3) Better still add more information to Ben Eine’s Wikipedia page here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_EinePlease help! Cheers robertlondon

Can I just thank everyone who has helped so far.
One of the problems with Wikipedia is that entries require corroboration from other online sources. If someone does not have that then they quickly become deemed not "notable".
If anyone has Eine links they know of or perhaps even references in books then feel free to add them to his Wikipedia page or leave them in this thread. . .

Can anyone remember what Art magazine it was that was free with a paper (Indepentant I think) that had an article about Eine in it? And if so, could you check if the article appeared online.

The article was in Art World Magazine Oct/Nov 2007, but their website www.artworldmagazine.com does not show it, so unless it is scanned in by someone I dont think it is online.

No one really mentions Ben's early carreer in London and Kent as one of the UK's most prolific writers. He has been tagging for over 20 years!
Great artist... I hope the Wikipedia page stays. Well done.

He was said to be Eine aka ben Flynn in the Art World Magazine article... fair enough, just that some people mind and some don't.

Posted something myself. The article probably needs more work though... Saw the reference to "Mash The Tate", which was painted next to Kemistry Gallery. This mural has now been painted over in white by the owner of the building.
