I took this as a dig but could be wrong. Also what's a bit odd is POW in their last email but don't expect any release from us soon as we're in Mexico looking for new artists. Again the usual ambiguous tone. But I'm sure there one and the same and it would be a pain in the arse to convert the basic PC site is written in such a way that suggest there on a server that can service CMS or ecommerce at the moment anyhow.
But heres looking forward to finding out more :-)

Someone knows more than they're letting on  that's interesting. i just checked out the site and realised that they had this on there...  which i remember seeing on ebay, didn't know if it was a fake or not but remember thinking it was actually a genuinely funny street sign rather than the usual s**t fakes, i did give up bidding at the point at which i would be gutted to lose the money if it was a fake. will be interesting to see if there are any genuine connections with the main man. also the site has been updated today and says... "We're about to enter an exciting month for the project, with some rather big things to be unveiled." Where are these two images up? Cheers |

im 99% sure pow are pest control it well could be a separate company but they will most likely be working under the same roof same people.. they are definitely connected thats for sure. legally they are different companies, all they share is one director (Simon Durban). They do not share a roof and they have different staff. Just checked again Shareholders are: B Hudd - 5 shares J Hewlett - 67 shares S Lazarides - 18 shares S Parkin - 10 shares As for Directors...the only listed Director is Simon Durban in the "event history" the following is listed: 30/07/2007 Stephen Lazarides Has Left The Board 16/01/2007 Stephanie Warren Has Resigned As Company Secretary 16/01/2007 New Company Secretary (simon Durban) Appointed even so SL has "left the board" he still retains his shareholding, he probably has less to do with PoW on a day-to-day basis in this case, but still has an interest. To be honest i don't really care who owns what, Banksy is making a smart move and it's just natural progression imo ,but pow please just email me before your drop the new Banksy  |

I remember bumping into a lady from pest control on the POW Open Day whilst buying some French Onion soup. She mentioned to me that Pest Control were an 'alliance' to POW. And my soup tasted superb.

Not sure what you mean, I know a few peeps at POW and Pest control are basically the same bunch. why is there such surprise at Pest Control are taking more control over the street bits?

Reading is fundamental:
"PEST CONTROL IS NOW THE SOLE POINT OF SALE FOR NEW WORK BY BANKSY" & "BANKSY IS NOT REPRESENTED BY ANY OTHER GALLERY OR INSTITUTION."
- Of course there is some Pest Control overlap with POW & Laz - as those once were primary sources, and now it appears they no longer are. Pest Control also is the official authentication agent for Banksy so it should be no surprise they deal with companies involved with Banksy's early career.
- We all have heard the pretty much substantiated rumor of Bansky and Laz parting ways.
- And Banksy is his own industry now - it's no surprise he needs his own exclusive agent/clearing house for everything Banksy-related.

I'm sure I vaguely remember one of the girls on the POW Open Day raffle stand telling me that VLH would be the last Banksy release by POW.....then again, it could've been the mulled wine that's clouded my memory!

Why is banksy making a smart move? because it's not a dumb move ;D I mean, it's a smart move away from a Gallery, well other than his own , he is a big boy now, and I'm sure he can fill a room with his art anywhere in the world and loads of lovers flock to it, well apart from Mexico at the moment (saying that, i would still go, mask in hand) and now it seems Laz's gallery too, if reports are true that is  , maybe the prices on canvases will come down now too |

He's taking the reigns of his career entirely and obviously is in a good enough place that he doesn't need to have a primary gallery calling the shots. Put a different way, Pest Control = Banksy's gallerist. They'll be able to put on exhibitions themselves, they can determine what outlets will be secondary dealers (maybe POW/Laz still, maybe everything will go through PC, who knows) |

we do know that POW are in mexico - we do know LAZ is opening a new shop - we do know PC are the new point of sale - what we dont know is WHEN or WHAT
none of this is abnormal in the reading of banksy

Then due to threats of legal action was lucky enough to get one? Or was it from the 68? edition?
