"Your Kids can't do this", international stencil show

After its showing in Canberra and before traveling to Sydney this much anticipated exhibition is now coming to FWD.
Canberra artist E.L.K. has assembled works by 23 artists from six different countries, including Orticanoodles, Vexta, Tesura, Deed, A1one, Lucamaleonte, Joshua Smith, Kirpy, Papermonster, Haha, Czarnobyl, Penny, Soule, Snik, Adam5100, Eyeski, E.L.K., Jamin, Spizz, LECKOmio, Jef Aerosol, Byrd, John Koleszar and Penny. Opening Thursday, 9 April, from 6 pm

China : J -8 ! has anyone here ever been to Beijing and Chengdu ? Any tips, hints, advice, suggestions, ideas, warnings ? won't have much time to wander around as we'll be quite busy with painting the murals, but should be able to visit a bit though. (would love to hit a few walls in town too !)

SUMMER EXHIBITION
back in London for annual Summer Exhibition which will be held in Notting Hill as usual.
The show will run from May 4th to June 28th and will include amongst others:-

Last week I took Mrs Coach and the kids to see Jef's exhibition in Lille. It was a fabulous show, and Jef's new work, pictured on the first page of this thread is superb. We had the pleasurer of meeting Jef, who kindly spent a good while chatting to us about his work, contemporaries, artists he admires etc. He is a fascinating chap to chat to, and was very generous with his time. He was also generous enough to give us one of his books, and sign it for us. His book is fabulous btw, and worth purchasing, if you are a fan of his work. The kids were thrilled to meet him (as was I!). Thanks Jef, and great show! c

Thank you so much Coach ! It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. Hope you enjoyed Lille ? And please say thank you to your sons again : the stencils they gave me are very good and I was extremely touched by those gifts.

Pleasure mate. Chatting to you and seeing your exhibition was the highlight of out trip. As for the stencils, they enjoyed making them, and were very excited to give them to you. You were a real gent to give up so much time to chat. Cant wait for the next exhibition - though hoping there will be one closer to home soon. Cheers c

I was invited to lead a stencil worshop with a dozen students at Dornbirn University (Austria). www.fhv.at
They had never cut any stencil or spraypainted before and within a couple of days we went thru the various steps of the whole process : - presentation of my work - photo shooting - computer work to turn the pics into stencils - projection and tracing - stencil cutting - painting of a huge mural on a big wall in the University.
