Aye up Thomas. Still waiting for mine, so difficult to accurately offer a suggestion at the moment, but you could check out these places for cheap(ish) and effective framing solutions
www.portobelloroad.co.uk/specialist/frames.asp
Also Gary (Misterframeman) is very reasonable considering the incredible job that he does.
Failing that I tend to let my local gallery offer up suggestions and if I agree with them and like the cost, the job's sorted.
Good luck mate

Frames & ideas for Swoon :D, by johnas on Oct 26, 2007 9:37:35 GMT 1, morning T
here's my helena... framed by me for a cost of:
* Solid Oak frame (14" x 11") - 13.99 * Non reflective glass - 4.25 * Mount - free (left over from other framing jobs - but an A1 sheet will cost about ยฃ3.50)
frame and glass bought from hobbycraft. www.hobbycraft.co.uk/STOR_MAP/INTRO.htm def worth checking out for ANYONE that wants cheap framing ideas. DIY is by far cheapest option and really easy to do.

Frames & ideas for Swoon :D, by johnas on Oct 26, 2007 9:41:01 GMT 1, btw, they also do 24" x 20" frames (solid oak is ยฃ20.99 & non reflect glass is ยฃ10.99) that would suit your Rockaway.
i hasten to add that the solid oak frames are the most expensive!

Frames & ideas for Swoon :D, by johnas on Oct 26, 2007 10:50:12 GMT 1, Is that floating Johnas? How do you fix the print to the mount at the back?
nah it's not floated and I haven't fixed it either, although you can buy acid free, water soluable tape from hobbycraft too for a couple of quid per roll.
i find that the prints actually stay in place if you secure the backing board in securely enough. Beware though that pressing it down too hard may cause the print to ripple. It's all about the 'right' amount of pressure! Obviously though, expensive prints I get professionally framed
for anyone that wants a go at self framing, i recommend buying one of these too, so you can cut your own mounts at home: www.diyframing.com/store_viewCategory.cfm?CategoryID=16
Here's 7 prints I have done myself, which work out less than ยฃ120 total (inc all fixings and non reflective glass). they're all being hung down my staircase this weekend, hence the same frames!

Frames & ideas for Swoon :D, by Jef Aerosol on Oct 28, 2007 3:10:33 GMT 1, Isn't Swoon an American girl who pastes up cut papers ? I saw some of those works in a book. Like stencils cut in very thin yellow paper and directly pasted up the walls... Is it the same Swoon ? The pieces I see here look very different.

Scavos is right, the 'lady' on the right is by Swoon but all the rest are by a guy called OTHER - a canadian graf artist best known for painting frieght trains.
