Why isn't this on the main board, this is after all a Banksy forum. Some people dont like all the talk of Print releases and Gallery shows on the other board, so idealy this board should be the home of all Street & Graffiti chat. Im trying to help keep people happy by doing this I know it might be changing a few habits of people who only look at the other board, but they are missing out if they dont look around a bit at some of the other sections available on the forum. Thanks This forum has far to many boards to keep an eye on them all and it's no wonder people are leaving to go elsewhere - Just my 2p... Great street piece btw but not sure it's a Banksy, looks a bit naff in the detail..

At least be consistent then, as the thread for the other new Banksy street piece is on the main board.

seen on facebook - that one is definitely not a banksy 1) too similar to last graffiti 2) scale is completely off 3) does not fit his style in any way at all 4) no use of the surroundings 5) the text slopes down because the placement of the stencil is wrong

on the plus side, the roller warden is class. Banksy placement at it's best. Having said that, the image isn't quite as good as his recent efforts. However, it does give you that smirk that only mr b seems to be able to manage, with its placement. Quite intelligent too, cos there's no way Vermin could get that roller removed without rolling it and thus ruining the image. Well thought out mr b, throwaway art like no-one else!!!

I still think it's crazy to hide this thread away here when the majority of the traffic for the site goes to the main board, I think most people are only finding this thread because I posted on the main board, then Silky liked over to this tread from it.

All thats needed, and even of those 4 only 3 would be viewed regularly.

now that i look at it zoomed in it looks like the artist BAM who has done "warden" stuff in the past! That was my first thought too.

I would say its not a banksy. Not in a million years
traffic wardens are an unoriginal hate figure for stealth tax conspiracists, UKIP fiends daily mail and sun readers. Cant see banksy going down this humour free, borderline distasteful populist route .
There a re a great many rubbish artists hanging around Goldsmiths with nothing to do - ots only a mile away from Lewisham

If it is by Banksy, do you think its best for him to post photos of it up on his website straight away? or do you think he enjoys the speculation

I reckon he loves the speculation, hence not posting on his site and not Banksy-tagging new work. It must be quite funny reading all the is it/isn't it? discussions, people convinced either way etc. It also allows the local press to run "new Banksy piece?" front pages... Or maybe he is just paranoid in case someone is filming the creation of these pieces, so by not autographing them he can deny its him if it comes on top...

I recon he loves the speculation, probably reads these threads and has a right laugh at the stuff people come up with! I recon photos on the website after a few weeks just to confirm!
