Bombhugger - you had me there for a minute, I thought that was your collection. You win the dryest sense of humour award though.
Manty - you can't buy everything!!!!! ;D Leave something for the rest of us.

YOUR Latest ART BUY - Part IV, by ricosg11 on Nov 20, 2007 22:14:57 GMT 1, walking tour of my apt.
This is what you are greeted by walking in the doorway. Chris Stain- Thousands Went Sailing

If we continue into my roomates room, we see some of his photography from traveling and a few of my framed pieces to fill up the empty space.
Shag - Cigaristo, Jermaine - Exhausted Beauty, and the little guy in the second pic is a Bwana Spoons

Now continuing out into the "den" if you will. Ekundayo - Lady Day, Adam Neate - Paved With Gold, Swoon Helena, Jeff Wood - Great Woods (where my mom sang)

To my bedroom. We have my two Titi Freak original portraits, American Fender Texas special, Emek - Tool print(S), Burwell - original, Herakut - Astro Babe, and my new but quickly growing book collection, Jeff Koons - Flower Dog Sculpture.

Interestingly enough, I have been rotating stuff as I am out of room. In the closet and framed are my Shoreline Pollock and my Emek How Ta Turn A Womun... Still lots to frame. What a great hobby.
Thanks for lookin Scott

YOUR Latest ART BUY - Part IV, by scavos on Nov 20, 2007 22:42:31 GMT 1, Thanks and +1 ricosg. Fascinating. I've seen your Herakut before when you had it up against the window. Loved it then; love it even more now. As a music obsessive your rather splendid fender caught my eye. However, I'm intrigued to know if I would have heard your mom sing. You mentioned that she sang at Great Woods. I don't know where that is but is that her singing in the photo? Looks like a shot from the 70s era.

YOUR Latest ART BUY - Part IV, by ricosg11 on Nov 20, 2007 23:08:29 GMT 1, Ha, scavos, Thanks for the kind words. Wish I was a better player. My mom cant sing, kind of why it is so funny. I am a big fan of Phish. It was one of their last shows before calling it quits and her first time seeing them live. She got us front row seats, they played smokey robinson's tears of a clown, none of the band could remember the words, so they brought her up in front of about 12k people. its from Aug. 11, 2004 if you want to find the audio. She sounds terrible most of it, but at one point really finds her place with the band and creates that magic we call music. The photo was sent to us by the Phish photographer afterwards.

YOUR Latest ART BUY - Part IV, by scavos on Nov 21, 2007 1:47:27 GMT 1, ;D Great story! Have to be honest and say I don't know the band but what a buzz that must have been for her in front of 12,000 people! Best I managed was 100 at the Newark Beer festival; and they weren't there for the music. ;D ;D

YOUR Latest ART BUY - Part IV, by Andy'77 on Nov 23, 2007 1:49:23 GMT 1, Nice collection Howlin, would so love a Laugh Now but then I guess so would everyone else who comes on this forum... Rabbit Legs, that Josh Keyes print is great, really love his stuff.
Here's the piece I've been waiting to get onto my walls, now there isn't space for one more print, although I'm sure there'll be some rearranging in a month or two....
