yes, I've seen Kenny too, you can't beat a good down to earth human being. The Castle still tops it for me, a very special film

The Best Film Ever, by Coach on Feb 4, 2017 21:45:51 GMT 1, Also recently watched the Man Who Knew Infinty. Very good.
"The true story of friendship that forever changed mathematics. In 1913, Srinivasa Ramanujan, a self-taught Indian mathematics genius, traveled to Trinity College, Cambridge, where over the course of five years, forged a bond with his mentor, the brilliant and eccentric professor, G.H. Hardy, and fought against prejudice to reveal his mathematic genius to the world."

I think he absolutely nailed it, the directing and cinematography, the soundtrack and the connections were spot on, best sequel i have seen for a very long time.
(and some proper funny scenes too boot)

Just got home from seeing it. I thought it was utterly brilliant. Excellent relationship between it and the first film. Especially Spud writing it. Acting and cinematography fab. Great script. Many laughs. First rate.

Great minds gentlemen! Danny Boyle, the cast, the script. Winning formula deserves to do very well. (Doffs cap)

The Best Film Ever, by Black Apple Art on Feb 15, 2017 8:02:46 GMT 1, Watched it with my 7 years old kid who plays drum. We have a good laugh !! Every time with speak about or mention tempo, we can't resist, lot of "fucks" and annoying "not on tempo" are thrown !! About musical movie, I enjoyed the one about Mile Davis, fictional though (Miles Ahead). The Janis documentary (Little Blue Girl ?) isn't bad but documentary tend to suck a bit. The Zappa (eat that question) is OK for people unknown to Zappa character. And if someone has "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T" by the great Dr Seuss, kindly share it ! Cheers While we're are on music , I thought Born to be Blue was great as well.

The New Rijksmuseum
Amazing documentary and found it fascinating what goes into such an ambitious undertaking that took over 10 years.

The Best Film Ever, by Street Art Fan on Feb 19, 2017 20:05:00 GMT 1, Crumb (1994), by Terry Zwigoff.
Engrossing documentary about everyone's favorite misanthropic comic artist genius. Worth watching if only for the scenes involving his brother, who liked to sleep on a bed of nails.

The Best Film Ever, by Hubble Bubble on Feb 21, 2017 11:34:10 GMT 1, Latest film in the Oscar season frenzy was HIDDEN FIGURES. I was slightly disappointed even though I enjoyed the piece. I felt it tried to spin too many thematic plates. None smashed but many wobbled.
