Been meaning to ask you Mike - did you make anything from your betfair punt that the toon would be relegated?
I didn't follow the prices that closely but I don't think it fluctuated too much thanks to the s**teness of bolton and fulham - even when we were on that horrendous run.

Did we ever establish whether it is better to refresh the artist page or the print page?
I have snowballs chance in hell, but I like to pretend that I do.

What reason can there possibly be to not have an image preview? The cynic in me thinks its becoming a systematic tactic for the retailers taking advantage of the frenzied masses - by not allowing you to think about it = guaranteed sell out.

So if the inevitable happens and I dont get a print what price do you reckon the flippers will be selling at? perhaps we should have a sweepstake on the first ebay one.
Or will they hang on to them for a while?

Or will they hang on to them for a while? I think they will be for sale on ebay immediately. As for price. Who knows? These things aren't that easy to guess, but if I was forced to have a guess, the ones at the show, run of 75, original price maybe 1k....I would say you are looking at people trying BIN prices of 5k-10k. Maybe more in the current climate. 15k? I don't know anything about the other prints, but probably 5k minimum.

If you know nothing about the prints how can you value at 5-15K That is just plain stupid! This sort of talk leads too flippers getting there the night before. No way will the prints be hitting those prices. BRP have increased the prices to a level that is on par with market value, so if they sell at around 1k i would expect to pick them up on Ebay for around that mark.

No way will an edition of 75 be worth 5k on the secondary market, anyone getting any ideas from that valuation are totally wrong! I know a couple of TMA London prints have fetched that price but not anymore. This is already an expensive print and not part of the successful TMA series so anyone looking for quick money should go gamble somewhere else.

Totally agree - the TMA London print is selling for about £3k at the mo. I don't think they can release anything, with the exception of TMA New York, Sydney or Tokyo (which they won't release this week) that will be as sought after as the London piece. Even still, Nick's work is experiencing a bit of a bubble at the mo with many pieces overpriced (look at the lack of interest prior to Bonhams) - I personally think the prices will head south in the not too distant future...

There will also be alot of new nick walker prints (undoubtedly also ebay). this should push the prices down a bit.

Listen, Stender is the one going round asking how much Miss Bugs and Walker prints are going to cost. I said it was a complete guess, and if you read my post, I said I think people might be putting them on ebay for that much, not providing a valuation service. Have you seen ebay recently? Sickboy prints going up for 500 quid when they haven't even sold out on POW..... If BRP release the 75 edition at 1k, then flippers will put them on ebay for much more. And I can guarantee the flippers have booked their tickets at the front of the queue before my post. I've got no interest in the ridiculous prices, just going on the frenzy that seems to have hit his prices since Bonhams.
