After what seemed like an eternity waiting for customs clearance my DOLK canvas from HMP. Delighted with it and well worth the wait. "Grenade Lovers"

Me too spent too long thinking about this piece, just could not justify the 1500. It is however a great canvas and I'm sure worth every penny plus some.
Well done Harveyn.

Harveyn and Carlito...weird coincidence but those are actually the only two images by Dolk that I am a fan of. Great purchases on your parts, the grenade lovers reminds me of the Blur cover Banks did, which is the only gripe I have with the image.

They were up for ages Waxology @ a great price too. I wouldnt say they were a great price, they were expensive but in the grand scheme of things they might ultimately seem like a bargain.I have the Police line canvas which I love but on reflection I think HMP got their pricing wrong from the start otherwise these would have and should have sold out sooner and allowed them to get something new up earlier.

Why price them stupidly low and sell out in two seconds so people that dont really want them can flip them on ebay later! If you ask me, they are priced good for a great canvas from a great artist. Very nice Neil, looks so much better in the flesh than the advertised photo on HMP!! Thought about buying this one for a long time, all sold out now, gonna regret that now!!

Yours seems to have much more background shading Wiseblood, also very very nice. Pretty cool that they're all quite uniquely finished.

i asked for one which looked like it had been cut out of a wall as i didnt like the pic on HMP as it was too clean, but loved andrewd's when his arrived. Morton sent me a pic of every one there was left, think only 2 had sold at this point, so picked the one with the most distressed type look to it, and loved it ever since. Tis my girlfreinds fav piece

If you ask me, they are priced good for a great canvas from a great artist. so its all about flippers then, are you saying galleries take flippers into the equation when they price work to sell ? I dont want to get into an argument here but IMHO these were started at the wrong price regardless of flippers fans or anyone else.

Carlito - Your Police Line is pretty "clean." My version is more distressed it seems. All versions of it are cool - making an observation.

Sorry Dslug. Flippers might not be the right term. But what I mean is why price them wery low just to sell out in a second when you can sell them a bit more expencive (and make sure that they go to people that really want them) and still sell them out in some months. I say theese are priced quite good seeing how the market is now. But thats just my opinion. Cant afford them myself tho!
