such a shlep up there!!! A few hours on a train would do no harm, especially when people fly all over the world for big shows. I think it's great that more shows are being held outside of London, nice 1 Opus!

I agree... me and a mate managed to traul our sorry lazy arses up to Newcastle for the Whitewashed show and have to say from my point of view it was the best day I've had this year... amazing show, loads of (free) booze, quality people... oh and yes I got ludicrously drunk and have been called a lightweight ever since ;D

Will have to try and make it up to Newcastle again for this. Whitewashed was a great event and well worth the trip.

I cant wait for this show, if the new work is anything to go by its going to be amazing... Hush was up at the launch of King Adz and Thames & Hudson's Urban Cookbook on Thursday, it was a great night and nice to see some of the new images going up... Meanwhile Hush has been having more than his fair share of coverage in the papers this week... The Independent (10/10/08) Top 20 up and coming artists... and of course not forgetting the four page interview in the most recent copy of ModArt... Things are looking very bright indeed for Hush... (more photos on my flickr, linked below)

A new arrival from the Hush show at the Carmichael Gallery. Now I need to decide how to frame it, at the moment it's just hung straight on the wall. I like the look of the new works as well which seem to be a move away from the Manga style.

Looks good aginghippie, yeah I like the new style too, eventhough I think the manga style is kinda his best way to go about it, but hey - maybe he can do both.

I'd like him to stick to the Manga as well. I think that there is a lot that could be done with interpreting ideas into that genre. In some ways he is continuing in that vein with the comic book style but I'm not sure if ultimately it will give him anything he hasn't got already. Either way this will be interesting to watch.

Cant wait to see pics of this show i like Hush's work a lot he is probably going to be the next faile or someone like that cos his work is still rising and if you look in the new Bonhams catalogue you will see a 'Tits and Terror 1' (quality piece) and its priced at in the region of £2000-3000 (not entirely sure), JUST IMAGINE WHEN HE BECOMES SUPER HUGE AND VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY POPULAR. This show should be fantastic.
IM GOING TO DO SOME NEW WORK SOON ASWELL, SOME STENCIL ART BUT I NO A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE GETTING BORED WITH IT SO I WILL TRY AND MIX IT AROUND A LITTLE WITH MIXED MEDIA and TEXTURED PIECES e.t.c

Now that is gorgeous aginghippie... me wanty! Is it a large canvas? Thanks, it's 28 x 40". It was my first choice but the person ahead of me in the queue wanted it so I was looking at the Swift or Hushbabe both of which were 60 x 40". Realism kicked in - I could never hang the larger works in the way they deserved and then buyer decided on the Swift instead I got this after all and everyone was happy.

i do like how he stealthily covered up all the rude bits. very urban art. actually on second thoughts id probably feel a bit weird about cutting an intricate stencil of a p***s too

Good Stuff ;D Just spoke to Hush to get some details on his plans and he tells me there will be two prints each editions of just 15 and they will be heavily hand finished! He also mentioned lots of freebies and goodies for those who come to the opening night

i would like to buy but AGAIN....OPUS exchange rate is sickening...2 to 1...were talkin about over a thousand dollar difference if I want that Hush piece (cheaper one) if I were to purchase the more expensive one it's a few thousand dollar difference,, Again I hoped you constantly update your exchange rate daily cause i reckon your loosing sales!
