Mine's just arrived. It's a beast of a print and a real beauty! I'll take it to my framers at the weekend and post pics when completed.

Slight aside but FedEx duty invoice has just arrived today £40odd..... just thought I'd be the bearer of unwelcome news....
Seems like some bright spark at FedEx looked up how much they cost.....

What's the gig here tho'? Is there a duty exemption if they are completed by the artist - total piss take by FedEx as I picked it up from their depot!

Must say that I have changed my mind on this print having seen all the pics. They do look great - some look like they have been left on a building site for a week or so! Looking forward to seeing the framed ones. c

Anyone who gets charged 15% should contest it. These are hand produced by the artist so they are only subject to 5% VAT. It's a lot easier to do with Fed Ex than Royal Mail

Ok, my print arrived today and after some thought I've decided it's not for me. If anyone wants it at cost then drop me a PM. London based.

There's an import duty and an admin charge (I don't recall agreeing to the admin charge...) and I do recall 5% duty payable on works that are finished by hand....
I've nothing better to do than contest so I'll have a bash - need to pay the HMRC though as they'll win in the end...
Thks for your steer here guys...

No, I didn't, I just thought it might work, you could say that you didnt want to spend loads so bought a six pack of first class stamps (do this its about £3.00) and keep the receipt I suppose? After all, why would you care if it was incorrect. You could in theory say it wasn't yours and you threw it in the bin?

better idea, get Papermonster by email, explain charges, ask them to email fedex to explain the poster is now back with them! Jobs surely then a good one no? Also reckon they'd happily do it as by rights you could actually charge papermonster for the delivery extra charges given they put delivery on top?

Anyone have any idea when they're releasing their next round through their site?

I once got away with not paying - I waited for ages and ages, then when the debt collecters advice went out (FedEX don't chase their own debt, they sell it...) I said that I didn't know to what item the debt related and could they evidence what it was?
Of course, they couldn't locate the paperwork and I was home and hosed.
If anyone London based wants this for cost then let me know - Mrs Vera won't put it on the wall which is a bit rich as she was the one who bought it in the first place. Cost is all in btw as I think I'd get that on flea bay, maybe not today but soon....

Anyone have any idea when they're releasing their next round through their site? I think the Supines are next week. They were concentrating on the handfinishing last week and said it would be a couple of weeks.

I just had a letter headed 'Supplementary declaration acceptance advice' from FedEx.
Dosen't seem to make any sense or request any money from me.

Got mine yesterday, really impressed by the texture and finishing. Close call with tax as marked with full value or do Fed Ex charge after delivery ?
