I recently had an idea with regard to Eine. I sat there quietly thinking about it for a while and wondering what it would look like. In the end I couldn't stand it and decied to get in touch with Eine. I was quite nervous, the idea was very tongue in cheek and I was not sure if he would take it the right way or not. But I sent him an email outlining the idea and received a reply stating that although he is not taking any more commissions (at least until next year) he loved the idea so would make an exception. The concept was that Eine has been putting up his shutter letters for years in and around Hackney, those that love Eine think they're great, those that dont think its just letters and all a bit old hat. So to get a message out to those people and to show he has bombed hackney to hell over the years, I commissioned this. I hope that even if you don't like Eine you can really appreciate the sense of humour he has to take this commission on! I f**kin love it!!  In situ  Went to his studio to pick this up and the guy has a busy year ahead, he has a show in Denver Colorado in July and was working hard on some new stuff for the Corked show, as such this is the last commission he'll be doing for some time. Many thanks to Eine for this, a top bloke, a top bit of work and I love it. |

Love it. Ben is such a cool guy to deal with and has to be one of the most down to earth artists I have come across. Great piece.

That is cool as, slowmo!! Fantastic piece! I'm guessing it's around 150 x 30cm in size?
Ben is really great to deal with though, anyone who does want to do something with him (when he reopens the commission book that is) shouldn't need to feel nervous though - there couldn't be a friendlier artist when it comes to listening to people's ideas!

as soon as i have enough money an eine canvas of some kind is definately the first thing i am going to buy...i haven't seen one i dislike!

My Eine canvas is still the piece that gets the most positive comments from visitors!
although i'm needing to get it framed-up for its own protection soon... so far its been pierced with a screwdriver [now repaired], and recently got a fly squashed on it by a whack from a rolled up newspaper.
