You know this guy once came up to me and gave me a lecture on how I was wearing the wrong skate shoes (all this when he was holding a man bag), I gave my signal "look at this doughnut" glance to my mate and decided to humour him by asking if he did tre flips down ten sets like we did, he said he skated banks and miniramps for 15 years or something to that effect. Neither my friend nor myself could contain ourselves.
Not knowing who he was, later that day whilst trawling around on the internet I found a flicks and a video of the same guy spraying a single stencil rose and bragging about how it only took 30 seconds (oh word? a 15cm x 15xm stencil and a line took 30 seconds? That's mad efficient, bomb the system dude!)

I can't really comment on the art, but I thought the guy behind it was a complete tit.

hum, ive known copyright for a long time, he has never been a skater and in all the time i've known him, hes never ever mentioned it. Maybe you got the facts wrong? I'd doubt if you saw his face in any vid.

The phrase seems to have sprung up from nowhere... I can cope with "most" Americanisms, but hater and haters is the worst of the lot, it grinds and grates... Silky, can we please auto filter the word(s)

eddie, bruv, calm yourself down, I realise you want to fight the fight for your artist or whatever, but I always have evidence before I chat on places like this, c'mon man, don't you think I had some other piece of evidence to confirm it was him? Like him talking about the incident on the internet before I ever did, don't you think I would have that? Just one last thing, I don't think anyone was accusing him of actually skating, I was accusing him of being a poser and saying he skated for 15 years without actually doing it, the same way he has been doing stencils for 10 years (can we actually confirm that, because I would love to think that 10 years in the game would yield better results).

i wouldnt say street art was forged by americans, wasnt the mayans big on wall art wasnt a street but it was close enough, and the american indians, little big horn and all that. what happened to those guys, anyone remember??

I don't reckon cave men had too much input into the culture side of getting up, getting up with a name or getting up with an image is the same thing at the end of the day and yeah, Americans created that culture and that is the forerunner of this "movement".

If you visit Pompeii they have graffiti carved onto the walls from the days before Vesuvius erupted, so Pompeii was destroyed in 79ad, 1413 years before Columbus sailed the ocean blue. And a documentable date too of civilised society making graffiti marks which would have been viewed as vandalism, so can anyone beat that? 79ad to beat for the original vandals ;D

I had the pleasure of meeting Copyright last year on my lunch break.

I met him to pick up a couple of prints I'd bought from his online store.

What a top bloke he is.

The prints are fantastic, and he even gave me a 1/1 on card he had with him for free.

I'm sorry that the show turned out to be a bit of a farce, but a nicer bloke you couldn't wish to meet...

I've had a couple of dealings with Copyright - and he certainly is a top bloke.

In reality there's not much difference to a band hosting an impromptu gig where only 250 people can attend, and them telling their friends & families about it first -

because there's money involved it all goes pear shaped.

if you like the images - go back, take a camera - and stick it on yer wall
