Seen these pieces in the gallery - no jpeg on the internet can do justice for how great they look in person.

Still not keen, but at least the Opie ladies look to be appropriated with the desire to further the works composition as opposed to looking stolen and just thrown in like previous efforts using other artists work.
The top is probably the best I've seen from them.

I've always thought it is a similar neck of the woods to Mr Insect's work

I've always thought it is a similar neck of the woods to Mr Insect's work insect is a fair shout for sure hero. I've been told by someone fairly in the know that they have a very strong feeling that it is banksy. He cant be certain obviously but from dealings with them he's pretty sure. Makes sense though if it is....keeping it shtum allows him to explore totally different artistic avenues. Musicians work under different alias's so why not artists?!

There's been rumours and speculation about Missbugs for ages...when they did some spin paintings everyone was going on that they were the alter ego of Damien Hirst. Personally I think it's all rubbish - they're just two cool people.

Didn't Miss Bugs do a show in NYC that opened in June? I think Banksy and Paul Insect would have been a little busy doing something else in the months leading up to June.

Miss Bugs and Joe Black had a great show with us here last June. The pieces looked amazing in person. The execution flawless. Heavy aluminum, inset spin art discs, Mixed Media pieces on exotic woods. Tremendous stuff. Proud to have had a show with all of them here. You can see the work from the show in our ARTISTS/EXHIBITED section.

[/IMG]
some of their prints also use stuff from Koons and Warhol but i think its a tad silly to think koons is bugs just because. I always wonder if its hirst or someonelinked to hirst for the sheer fact that Hirst has never sued them for some extremely blatant ripping off!! Cartrain takes a lousy photo of the skull and gets his aass raped.

I'm not a big fan of miss bugs, but i saw the pieces on wood today & they're pretty nice indeed. The 'influences' of other artists are much more subtly placed than on the rather dodgy street piece I walk past every day.

despite being topical, there's longevity to Ms Bugs image because of her style is so sweet and ballsy.
