Now I want this as an Original or a really small print run... ;D
Come on D* and JSG , hook a brotha up!!!!
Agree - that would look cool. I would go for that. Still not feeling the unamerican graffiti print at all - pleased for those that bagged one and that are happy with it though.
Have to say, those Unamerican Graffiti prints look great, still think they'd be better without the writing though. I reckon if that Coke Riot was released as a print it'd sell out in minutes.
Got mine today. It cleared all my doubts about whether or not I should have purchased it in the first place.
It's amazing isn't it... ;D
I was moving mine around tonight and found the perfect wall for it and with gallery lighting it explodes with color... this one is going straight to the framer... Picts to come!!!

It's really great to hear that everyone is so thrilled since receiving the print. We would love to hear from any others who get theirs. People in the UK should be receiving theirs any day now...
Yes JS this may be easy to print but BRP could really go to town with this and maybe get it all grimey like a Faile Personally I do not care for loads of bright colours..
Here's the heads up on a 2 week trail of paint through LA. Most significant to me at least are the photos and film of the painting of the Ridiculous Pool owned by Peter King. For those that don't know the know...
Peter and legendary skater Steve 'Salba' Alba discovered this pool, as they have with many, in the back yard of a vacant house in San Bernardino; hit hard by the economic downturn and subprime mortgage fiasco, San Bern or BadLands has left many properties vacant, like many downsides there's an up to those who are searching... this area has the most amount of pools built in the 50's... which unlike most pools built today are beautifully curved and shaped, offering up dream like transitions to those committed, pool hunting, backyard jumping skaters.
This particular pool got Christened the 'Ridiculous Pool' as it's transitions and shape are God given. The pool remained empty and secretly skated for a few years until the property was put up for sale, fearing it would be brought by one of the property developer vultures circling overhead, which would have seen the pool turned back into it's intended use, Peter stepped in and brought the property, pool and all, the rest is history ... I was asked if I'd like to paint it... I didn't need asking twice.
Thanks go out to Peter King for the film and photos, Tombo Jombo for the constant paparazzi style support and time lapse patience, Meat Ball for the always being down for the ride, long haul or short, Roger 'Snake' and Daniel L for being the LA hook up.
The ridiculous pool was absolutely sick when D-Face finished with it. Those pictures, while totally awesome, still fail to give the full impression of seeing it in person.
I think more than anything, it was a special moment for the artist. D*Face talked about growing up thousands of miles away in gloomy grey England where all the pools are square; reading thrasher magazine and seeing the photos of the god himself, Steve Alba, shredding in So.Cal. He couldn't have felt more out of the loop, and now here he is 25 years later, working alongside his heroes... That was a special moment to see, for sure.
The session with Salba and all the other Hurley skaters was straight out of a boy-hood dream. I've never seen anyone skate with such joy and passion... There's something very special that happens when people skate at ridiculous...
I purchased an UnAmerican Graffiti PP. The transaction went well and the Print showed up in a timely manor. However, when my print arrived I noticed that it was from the original run of 100, not 1 of the 10 pp's. The print is beautiful and I don't really mind that it is from the original run. I also received an original hand painted paste-up by D*face, and a bunch of stickers. It is at the frame shop right now. I will post pictures when it is complete.
I did not receive a COA. Was that standard for this print? Did anyone from the 100 get one?

Probably worth reading this post...it's long but if you've bought from JSG then you need to read it.

Same thing happened to me and a friend of mine too. Instead of PP's we received numbered versions. I returned mine to JSG and was pissed that I was lied to like that. It is conceivable that you were shipped my returned version, which is even more insulting.
I have never seen one in person does it look like a print or a poster? On my computer it looks like a poster, doesn't seem to have that feeling of a nice screen print.
