still up.. ed. of only 100.. this is surprising, for me at least.. as seems to be the case with a lot of d*face prints there are a lot of proofs too. edition of 100 with 28 proofs...

Can't believe he set up another account to pimp his prints on the giant forum. Not @ all surprised these are still available. His business practice is shocking to say the least.

I think this would have gone if it didn't have the weak typography at the top - completely ruins it. I agree...would have bought it immediately without the typography...def ruins it for me

No way I'd be shelling out 300 quid on this. They'll be 200 on ebay in no time (if they show up in the first place!). JSG got kicked of Obey forum AGAIN yesterday!! Just too dodgy.

I'm in two minds, I really like it in one respect but something is stopping me from pulling the trigger.
It was the most popular/spoken about image at the show, but the fact it's not really going anywhere says either the works at that show had more a novelty value than any real depth (novelty runs out quickly) or this image was just the 'best of a bad bunch'...
Pure speculation of course and not an opinion I hold personally.

silky you do see good in people to a fault I suppose, but this guy is not one of good ones and as much as I'd love to pull the trigger on this I'm not knowing that toolbag is part of it. That just ruins it for me. For anyone who goes for it.. good luck. I wonder who owns the original because this piece was sold long before opening night. Maybe D hooked someone up.

D's involved, in fact he's in LA as rumoured so for those that have doubts this may be a little more reassuring.

That will be the numbered proofs. God only knows how many un-numbered ones he will be punting through Stolen Space as he did with the Pop Tarts. Then there are the PP's, gift prints etc etc etc....

It all measures down to... Over 100 people liking this image enough to frame it (its to big to be kept in folder). Over 100 people having the cash to afford the hefty framing. Over 100 people having a wall big enough to house it. Over 100 people trusting it will get here from the states in one piece. Over 100 people trusting it will get here at all.
The odds are well against this selling out quick me thinks...

I really like the image but after reading all the Drama with Jetset I just can't bring myself to pay for the idea that this could go all wrong. I have carted this 3 times now and then my better judgement takes over and I drop it, D*face should list them thru his own site and they would have all gone by now

I like the print, but I'm not about to support JSG after everything I've heard about the outfit. Looks like I'll save the cash for the next Banksy print.

Why the f**k would you do a print with someone that no one trusts?
It confuses me.

I have to wholeheartedly disagree with this being a strong image, you ever slooshed coke/pepsi around in your mouth for a minute? Well this print is like that, sweet and addictive for the instant rush. once that subsides you're left with an emotionless shyte tasting embodiement of manipulation and marketing the cold hard truth at the centre of this, it would have sold out if the majority of purchasers thought it was worth more on the secondary market, therefore making it a worthy investment, all the talk of framing costs etc etc would only be relevant to a small handful in reality

There are many on this board who arent interesting in flipping it but just interested in owning it so although I understand your point regarding the secondary market, the truth is many who would purchase this for themselves are on the sidelines because of JetSet's involvement. The secondary market is sort of moot if you never actually get the print that you pay for. If D* were to sell it, or stolen space, or BRP...this would have been gone.

print and originals markets are completely different beasts and can't be compared at all. Maybe they would have maybe they wouldn't have sold out, i'd suggest that the last sold out dface release the truly awful punk queen thing was the nail in d's fast selling releases as can be seen by the number flipped and the amounts these went for

I'd probably say that certain Nick Walker prints have a secondary market. TMA Empire State released Jan 2009 @ £500, now selling for £1500.

But that's been almost a year now, the poster I was responding to was talking about a print release from September (I think) that ended up on Ebay days later. I think that was the context we were discussing his assertion of the secondary market proving an artists worth/value in this current climate.

Yeah, would be nice to see some close ups of the print and a few shots to give people a better idea of the size.
