To cash in on the new Bast show (see right) we’re selling these new prints - each uniquely hand painted on extremely shiny blue vinyl paper. Unfortunately the text has something to do with a Swedish massage facility and the show closes tomorrow.

Says sold out anyway but I guess this will change when people start dropping them from their baskets

You can buy better Bast stuff on ebay. Smaller editions, hand finished etc.

a hand painted bast print for £285? not bad at all. pretty ugly but that's how he rolls. i'd rather buy from the secondary market though so i can choose my preferred unique print.

Isn't it about time now to announce that you've got one in your basket, you can't afford it/wife hates it/it's the wrong shade of blue, and you're about to drop it? Maybe with a request to PM if interested?
C'mon people, we're at least 15 minutes into the sale.

i have one in my basket that i cant afford and the wife hates as the blue is slightly wrong and would clash with her hair when she has her blue rinse.....
just cant get into Basts work, not my cup of tea at all. Fair do's to all who grabbed one tho.....

I just can't find anything I like about Bast's work. Have tried hard to like it too. But this particular image really isn't helping one bit! lol.

Like the small Bast pieces at Laz Rathbone but this seems to be a step in the wrong direction. Interested to see how it looks in the flesh as I'm guessing that pic isn't doing it any justice.

i think people who buy this will be surprised buy the quality of the handpainting - that blue gloss paper is horrible stuff, it sits in every art shop on the country and no1 ever goes near it, but thick paint would stand out nicely on it, if nothing else, it will have a good gloss/paint/screen contrast going on

His work is like a Marmite - you either love it or hate it.
One thing is for sure he has his own style and he is not following the usual stencil-politics-paintdrops-skulls-blood-guns-tits thingy.
