Nick Walker • The Empire's State, by slowmo on Jan 5, 2009 21:47:38 GMT 1, I have a spare plus 1 if any London folk fancy queueing up for me and I'll join you just before 6ish. Have to come from quite far away.
Pointless queueing if you have a ticket. There will be a fast track entry for those holding tickets, no queue, if you have no ticket you will need to queue to buy one. Otherwise you are just wasting your time and if you do queue too early you may well be moved on by security to come back later as there are three vehicle access points at the front of house, one to the car park, another to the hilton drop off (gate protected) and another that leads round the back. You can queue up the side, but only really around 15-20 minutes before opening. They are very strict on health and safety at BDC and if they find you hanging around, will move you on. Better off if you insist going early to have a few beers in the steam passage and go over around 5.30-40pm.

Nick Walker • The Empire's State, by kahuna on Jan 6, 2009 6:43:24 GMT 1, This is the Walker print I have been waiting for. Sure it would look superb hanging next to my London and Hollywood prints.
What are the chances of winning my first ever prize in a lottery/raffle?

Nick Walker • The Empire's State, by sand on Jan 6, 2009 14:52:09 GMT 1, Seeing as this print was always going to be so popular surely it would have made sense to make it an edition of 300 or so at about £350 or thereabouts. Making it affordable for everybody and a bit more accessible, whilst not flooding the market.
But it's all speculation so far...and I know they occasionaly post on the forum...can someone at BRP confirm the price and edition size please?

i think it will be £750 if it's a small edition of 75, i hope that puts the flippers off

Agreed. BRP charges way too much. I wish Nick would sell his prints directly. BRP probably gets half.

Nick Walker • The Empire's State, by aginghippie on Jan 6, 2009 17:58:16 GMT 1, So who should make the profit - the flippers or the artist? If this is well producted and a small edition i think the secondary market price is likely to be more than £750.
So the question is; do you want a slight chance of a cheap print or a good chance of a more expensive? Personally I'll go for the latter because on past showing the chance of getting a cheap print is slim to non-existent so I'll take what discount I can get off the secondary market price.
